Victor Osimhen

Featured Replies

Apparently keeping Felix and signing Victor are our top 2 priorities for the summer window.

If we do pull that off that is a lot of attacking options. Hard to fit in a 343 I would guess we would have to go back to a back 4 to fit in:

Nkunku

Felix

Mudryk

Oshiman

Rather have Nkunku central and Sterling out wide. Felix is too much of a liability.

New GK, new DM, Felix and Osimhen would be all of the incomings we need for a long time, then we'd need to look at offloading 10 or so players.

probably diogo costa would be the choose goalkeeper

Agreed. So far I would sooner we don't sign Felix, his end product is not an improvement on what we already have in the club imo.

I'm not sure where the obsession for Felix is coming from. Vivell? Potter? Boehly?

Hope we don't make any signings until there is a clear idea in what we want to do.

For me Felix is easily our best attacker in my opinion and a massive upgrade on what we had pre-January. His end product needs a bit of work but I think individually he's night and day to Pulisic, Mount, Ziyech, Havertz and Sterling.

Right but what's the plan here? Are we intending on playing with a ST next season? Do we intend on keeping this 343 or is it just temporary? How do Nkunku + Felix fit together in the same team? Should Felix be a priority at 80m when there are pressing needs at ST and midfield? What's the deal with Havertz, is he gone or is he staying?

There seems to be no firm direction atm.

I don't think we have a specific formation we want to play if I'm honest, Potter changes formation often so it's difficult to just say we're playing 5 or 4 at the back.

I definitely get your point with Felix and Nkunku, but can we really complain about having too much talent for a position? The only time it becomes an issue is if it means we can't sign other positions we need but we'll have to see, I can't see that happening though. Here's how I see our attacking options for next season assuming we sign Osimhen or a different striker

WR/AM - Mudryk, Madueke, Sterling, Nkunku, Felix

ST - Osimhen, Broja/Fofana (Broja probably goes out on loan due to injury recovery), Havertz

Assuming we aren't dog sh*t in cup competitions again next season there's a lot of opportunity to get minutes for everyone. I think it's safe to say Pulisic, Ziyech and Aubameyang are getting sold.

Potter will need to coach the ever living day out of our attacking players to defend if we are going to play with that much attacking intent in a back 4.

aesthetically he's better in small patches, few nice flicks around the corner etc.. All those listed above and Gallagher (except Pulisic) are much more effective though. Better output and work rate, but which are needed in the Prem.

Without CL football only reason players like him will come here is for a big contract, being a mercenary.

We need to look at the best from clubs like Brentford and Ivan Toney. Players with a point to prove who will still see us as a step up.

Toney might be on a very long suspension soon .

Said we should have gone for him instead of Lukaku.

But the club ignored me 🤣

You just described the "the plan" perfectly up there.😄

We were talking about Felix.

I'm pretty certain that the club has learned its lesson however. The next time you say, "Don't sign Lukaku.", I'm sure they will listen. 🙂🙂
