Victor Osimhen: Striker says he has 'unwavering' love for Napoli and calls for unity among fanbase

Most of Napoli's fans have sided with Osihmen and condemned the club's staff, so hardly surprising. A vocal minority believe the club can do no wrong and that the whole affair is an attempt to force a move - a nonsense conspiracy

I'd rather put a bit of faith in Jackson and Broja, who have both scored in their most recent appearances ... and with Nkunku available again in a few weeks, we really don't need Osimhen, even if he was available, which he isn't,  and even if the price was reasonable, which it won't be 🙂

A few weeks? January and the potential return is a few months away. . . but yes, agreed, we do not need Osimhen for a vast sum.

Don't want to see us pay £60+ for a striker again, too many bad memories. Rather just keep taking our chances on Jackson-esque players up top.

 

Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are all in the chase for 24-year-old Napoli and Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, who is rated at around £95m. . .so his price has gone down a bit from the £150m quoted earlier, but still, how good is he? Is he the striker we need?

At £95m I can see a lot of suitors more than those mentioned. 

 

 

 

Reports say we are fine with selling Maatsen in order to have the green light for Osimhen in January, price would be about £80-90m.

Forgot about Maatsen. Looks like he's not in the plan.

Is it buy and then loan back to Napoli? Getting him in January seems unlikely. 

No way Napoli let him go in January.

That's how it sounds like, we are looking to buy a striker in January.

Bufff, I don't watch Serie A, but his second half against Real Madrid this past Wednesday was very poor in my opinion.

If selling Maatsen means it gives us the cash to buy Victor then do it. Unfortunately Maatsen has shown very little in his cameos and hasn’t taken his chance at all. 

Find it hard to see Napoli letting him go in January given they have CL to play in but we can get a deal agreed for the summer like Nkunku then that would be good

If the club waits his price tag would diminish by the summer comes but everybody has been reporting that we are looking for an established striker during the January transfer window.

I watched that. Started on the bench and he looked better there than he did when he got on the pitch.

I've seen a fair few games with him now. Would not pay a penny over £50 million. And even that would be a gamble I feel.

I have to admit to that match being the first time I’ve seen him, but seriously I thought his legs movement was top Bamby on ice impersonation. 

There shouldn’t be any concerns with him from our recruitment team if we are going to spend that much. 
 

AFCON also something to consider. What’s the solution with both Osimhen and Jackson gone?
