As you'll be our manager in the far future, watch this: 2.58 vertical jump, higher than Ronaldo's record of Serie A. This season even with an injury he has 6 goals in 9 matches played. He's a monster.

December 3, 20232 yr Maybe the big unit Akor Adams from Montpelier? The equally tall Jonas Wind of Wolfsburg? Or the almost as big Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart? Or the also tall Simon Banza of Sporting Braga? A smaller player option would be IL Openda of RBL? Or Johnathan David of Lille? I expect our multiple sporting directors and all there scouts to be able to compile a far more comprehensive list of players to suit our needs, and bring this side some personality. Also Havertz that won us the CL. Nobody has a perfect record anyways... But I'll put it this way, if he signs for a big club and ends up scoring loads, please don't say that he wouldn't have done it for us. Edited December 3, 20232 yr by Gol15

He's far more likely to succeed in another big club than with us. Quite frankly, I would rather we avoid spending another £100m+ as it's rarely justified. There are other strikers that can disappoint us for much cheaper.

That shouldn't be the thought pattern here since we already spent on multiple players 100m, the least amount of risk is to just sign the best possible option. What are the odds that we actually find a good striker for much cheaper? I say, very low.

The best possible option, in our situation, would be someone like Toney. If I'm being entirely honest though, I don't believe it matters what stirker we have upfront. We need some serious work on the other positions before we even get to the striker. Edited December 4, 20232 yr by Remodez
December 4, 20232 yr Both Toney and Osimhen have their positives. The former is less risk and will provide an immediate impact and prowess up top we haven't had since Costa. The latter is younger but a greater risk and higher reward than Toney. There's also AFCON to consider with both Jackson and Osimhen gone. If we can somehow get Brentford to lower that ridiculous asking price for Toney I say go for it. Edited December 4, 20232 yr by Sconnie Blue

In regards to Toney I find it funny that people think Osimhen is a higher risk signing while Toney is literally banned because he's an odd cookie. People think Jackson putting pictures while in Spain makes him terrible because we lost a match a day prior but sure let's sign this guy Toney, he must be an amazing individual he just happened to break some rules 200+ times, can happen to anybody!

Bit odd to bring up off field stuff, most people I'm sure are talking purely about on the pitch. For all we know Osimhen could be a betting addict too, he's just not been caught yet.

Not that I disagree with the Toney stuff, there has to be zero doubt from our recruitment team Osimhen is the answer if we are going to spend that much. Particularly when both he and Jackson will be gone for AFCON. What works in Toney's favor is that he's proven in the league and is an absolute bully. He'll provide an immediate impact.
December 4, 20232 yr Napoli only sell if there is a very good reason. Osinhem's injury record is poor and getting worse. I really have my doubts about it. However we do need more striker alternatives.

Oh brilliant, So we could potentially be signing another striker who's known for scoring goals in the Serie A, costs an atomic bomb, and also has a poor injury record? My goodness what could go wrong? To the people who want us to sign this man, have you been following our recruitment at all for the past 10 years? There is a flag the size of the empire state building here coated in red. I couldn't be more confident this man would come here and be absolute w**k, please for the love of god stay away.
December 5, 20232 yr His injury record doesn't mean he's injury prone. Throughout his career he's had 2 freak accidents (shoulder and knee) with only one muscular injury that has kept him out longer than 10 days which is his current hamstring injury.

December 5, 20232 yr Honestly I'm watching this Gyokeres striker that Sporting bought from Coventry and wondering why we did not go for him? He is such a complete striker and will be playing for big team come the summer.
