Because we have seen this in pretty much every game since Potter took over.

Tbh it could be a number of systems. We could even see Rlc as wing back but I doubt it as it would leave us light in midfield.

Like you I’m just hoping It isn’t Sterling as wing back.

my guess

mendy

azpi chala silva cuca

rubens jorgi

mount

sterling kia auba

Or could it be

                     Mendy

Azpi Chalubah Silva Cucurella

 RLC.       Jorginho.  Mount

Havertz      Auba     Sterling?

Or just wishfull thinking.

I'm joining your wishing but why isn't K2 in the back on the left...?

Oh Dear.

Would have had Gallagher and Zakaria in the starting 11 and why even waste a place on the bench with Ziyech?

Still, in Potter we trust......................COME ON THE CHELS - DO US PROUD!!

The reason why I am so sure it is Sterling at wing back is because it would be insane to play Azpi at RB against Arsenal. Azpi's legs have gone, he can get away with it against the likes of Zagreb, but not Arsenal.

Didn’t look 100% when coming off wednesday so maybe struggled to recover

I’ve had to rule myself out unfortunately. I had a late night and I’m a big sleepy boy.

You're never getting called up to the World Cup, so unprofessional! :angry2:

If the players can’t get up for this then we are in for a long season very long season.

I suspect its either a big win for us or a bit win for them no in between 3 or 4 goals.

brother in law coming over to watch Arsenal fan so he’s piping up!!!

Looks like a back four, although Loftus-Cheek in the hybrid midfield/wing-back role has previously worked well in the big games. Not wild about the idea of Martinelli exploiting the space behind Azpilicueta, although given our injury list I really don't know what the alternative is.

This is surely the least confident I have felt going into a game against Arsenal since Nw**kwo Kanu played for them. Come on lads, give us a nice surprise.

Genuinely can't remember the last time any Chelsea team were in the mood to put in a performance against Arsenal, they always seem to want it more these days. Our lot don't seem to be aware of how big this fixture is.
