You seem really excited for this move for him. Are you not a bit disappointed he has not stayed longer to help Vasco climb the ladder and maybe make a title challange over the next few years?

Well, disappointed is not the right word for this, i am happy for him the Boy deserves it, but sad because i will not watch him playing for vasco anymore, the problem was the old board we had here at Vasco da Gama, which didn't renew with him before he joined the professional team, Andrey played the entire series B without a contract renewal, an appreciation, now at the end of last year, the group that bought Vasco did the renovation, I really wanted him to stay here, to win some titles for the club, but unfortunately it wasn't like that. so i will be cheering for this Boy as much as possible.
He's another one of the great boys that Vasco produces, that makes me happy to see that people are going to get to know Andrey who came from Vasco. We have other boys coming through here, these will be valued and stay longer probably, but whenever they leave I'll be cheering for them.

Because of him I will follow Chelsea more closely.

I don't see him going on loan and think he will be good for the club.

Actually with the new CB starting to think we are going to build something with younger and hungrier players.

That is the hope. A pretty decent core full of potential. James could captain this lot!

Slonina

Chilwell (old guard by comparison, but cares), Fofana, Benny, James

Santos, Casadei, Chuk

Omari, Fofana

I noticed Brazilians like to pronounce Chelsea as “ChelseaAH” like Big Phil Scolari used to do “Chelse-ah” 😅

Yea, we pronounce CheseaH, its cool! GO CHELSEAH!

How is the creative side to his game? Not a lot of footage showing his passing game in the attacking end.

He scores 8 goals last year, helping alot on the creation him > atack midfielder > striker and sometimes he creates alone to striker. He's the type of player who always thinks ahead of the next move, he know when to go to atack and when to stay back, very good sense of position. I think the point he will improve now is the issue of sometimes getting a little too strong in the move.

Oh i almost forgot, he runs the 90 minutes, tireless, Serie B games in Brazil are totally exhausting for the player and he wouldn't stop running for 1 minute, he was always on the ball.

And he need to improve his english of course! Hahaha

If we had that Portuguese, French, Belgian or Brazilian club we could field a brilliant young side and let the boys grow. Now more than ever it would be so beneficial.

You guys should check out Bilal El Khanous from my team in Belgium Genk. Buy him and loan him back for 18 months.

Such an elegant number 10. 🥰

We dont have a vasco topic to discuss about vasco, well, sorry for posting here.

But is with very sadness that Roberto Dinamite passed away, the greatest of Vasco history, the best scorer of the Brazilian championship.

R.I.P legend!

It's always sad when a club lose a legend. My sympathies.

Andrey is playing as captain right now for Brazil U-20, He's playing very well, he's a very different kid playing football, I miss seeing him.

Next to him Marlon Gomes is playing, another boy who grew up at Vasco and has the same age as Andrey, he is the best player in the selection in this game, he has different qualities from Andrey, both are starters, the midfield is composed of the two of them playing next to each other, so proud!

2x0, editing again, Andrey Scores!!!!!!

He's easily better than most of our players already he just needs to settle and to get used to all the things a new club and country brings.

what does it say?

"It's ridiculous how well Marlon Gomes and Andrey Santos play, they know what, how and when to do their job; either on a counter or static attack overcoming the opposition press and bringing together the players in the middle of the pitch.

Total geniuses"

Watched a bit of the 1st half, the kid looks way above his age group. He is tall, very calm, composed and looks like the box to box type of player. Carries the ball with ease and is the total opposite of Fred who most of the times passes the ball 5 metres left and right.

Of all the big midfielders in world football, who do you think Andrey resembles the most? To me he looks like Casemiro, Rodri (City) or even like a taller, better built Jorginho. All progressive midfielders who always look to build attacks, rather than play it safe, although they play closer to the defence.

He's a mix of Ramires and Casemiro, he's a complete player.

I'll reserve judgement until I see him play as I'm sure someone said that about Bakayoko when we signed him!
