February 4, 20233 yr I only saw a few clips and thought he looked incredibly raw, but honestly, I'd like to see him play alongside Enzo. The rest are simply not up to it or not fit. We should really try this as it could change what we do in the summer window.
February 7, 20233 yr @VascoRF92 Is Andrey more of a holding midfielder or a box to box midfielder? Seems to be scoring a fair few goals, however we need that anchor midfielder to sit behind Enzo. Looks an exciting player regardless.

He's far more versatile since he's good in the final third too, he'll be more like Ramires naturally so I believe that we already have him as the replacement for Kante. Enzo - Andrey duo in the midfield is going to be really good.
February 8, 20233 yr Introduce him slowly, as I expect they would. If he is good enough it will immediately show and he’ll hold his place. Ideally gets some time though rotating with a fit again Kante for Enzo. Edited February 8, 20233 yr by PhilH930

February 8, 20233 yr Always find it baffling that someone who's probably on about £40k a week for the next 6 years wouldn't be given a work permit.

Never really nailed down or mastered a position, so was often used as a utility player. Santos, for me, has a great presence in midfield both on and off the ball. I'd rather we develop him there where I believe he has a great chance of becoming a good midfielder. His ability to find the net will also come in handy when he and Enzo alternate pushing forward.

Box to box with Enzo behind him, Andrey scored most of his goals by going forward inside the box, Enzo is the player behind that can score from outside or from the edge of the box.

Though I have no idea how of this works.
February 8, 20233 yr Have heard it suggested Potter wants to pair him with Enzo at times during the rest of the season. This seems out long term plan. Might be we sign Zakaria as an alternative along with keeping Kante. Has been suggested we may be willing to do a straight swap with juve, Kova for Zakaria.

It's very hard to judge how he would do in the PL or english leagues, because he won't get a fraction of the time he has in those games I've been seeing highlights of. This. I watched one highlight where he picked the ball with back to goal in midifeld area and he could casually turn. 😱😱😱. He would get smashed on his back before he could turn in PL. I think he will probably go on loan somewhere and we will see his progress before deciding what to do with him.

Agree for me looked like a mikel type player.. at lower level playing further forward because of athletic ability but will be pretty much a sitting protector. Also see his style as a little languid.

February 9, 20233 yr It's going to be interesting to see what level he is at. On the plus side, to make the Brazil U20 team at age 18 is a good sign. There is a world of difference though between U20 Internationals and the PL and CL. Chukwuemeka and Casadei also looked mustard at international Youth levels, and neither of them is close to being a nailed on starter for us (especially Casadei).
February 13, 20233 yr Scored again in the final game to win the tournament. Finished joint top goal scorer with his mate Vitor Roque, who he could put in a good word to join us in the summer.
