And while it is true that Fernandez regularly tops our team for distance covered, it is a blindingly obvious truth that our team run nowhere near enough compared to the rest of the league. Here's some stats from the end of November, aka when were challenging for the top; they'd be horrific now.

When the stats show that Enzo Fernandez is your best runner, you've f**ked up

Enzo said in an interview last week about the Maresca exit “hurting us a lot because we had an identity in training and playing ”.

A bit disrespectful to the current manager to say that in public IMO.

I reckon he’ll either leave in the summer or he’ll be the highest earner at the club.

Enzo really is an untouchable at Chelsea.

He was one of the best players in the WC2022, and he didn't need Messi for that, Argentina wouldn've beaten Mexico if it wasn't for Enzo, not only for the goal but also for the impact he made as soon as he came in.

Are you saying his best game of his career happened when he wasnt a chelsea player and took place 4 years ago? Have we been watching the same player?

The 32nd best player in fact, sharing the stage with some lofty names such as Dalot and Antonee Robinson.

Dont publish this, our sporting directors will be all over it looking for his replacement.

Maresca will come back in for him when he's at City or United and take him off us? Bloody hope so.

Those stats don't reflect how important was Enzo for Argentina (not the only one for sure), rating players is something subjective, but i watched those games and i stand by what i say. And secondly, his WC performances and his CFC performances are two separate topics, i never mentioned them as part of the same analysis. Regardless, no matter what you say, i know for sure there's been really good games from Enzo at Chelsea (not enough for sure), and i don't need anybody's approval nor i need to prove it to anybody else either. You say Enzo has always been sh*te at Chelsea or he's not good enough to play for Chelsea? I completely disagree. You say Enzo should've played much more consistently? I completely agree.

Who wouldn’t want to play for Madrid? Not bothered about that in the slightest.

What does bother me is his moaning about Maresca’s sacking. I’ve backed him more than most but I’d take Camavinga or Valverde to facilitate his move now.

We are far more likely to ask for Endrick who I rate but completely unproven for what we need.

I would too, in the same way I would have taken prime Cristiano Ronaldo over Shaun Wright-Phillips

I can count the good games he's stood out for us on one hand, one of those was on his debut, the others are all against lesser opposition and cup games.

If he played with consistency, he'd be a better player for us. He isnt and therefore isnt a good player for us. He is carried by the team during most games and is a liability when it comes to defending and being a midfield enforcer.

Will be glad to see the back of a bang average player for one who can compete in the Premeir league.

The main problem with Enzo leaving is we will then be down to one player, Reece James, that actually looks like he gives a sh*t when we're playing.

Sums up where we are and why we're struggling so. The guy we spunked £105M on - his main attribute is that "he appears to give a sh*t"!!

Hopefully next season we will have Colwill back who at least has a bit of bo**ocks about him.

throwing your hands in the air doesn't matter much to me. Maybe if he actually tried to impact games rather than looking like he cares we might do better.

The whole team hasn't played with consistency except for some streak of games in each season or during the CWC, i would even say that most of his best games were usually against the biggest teams, even when the final result wasn't good, but anyway, to each their own opinion.

I'm not going to argue with you. You think the guy walks on water... I dont and will genuinely be delighted when he leaves. Good riddance.

No bothered he's leaving to be honest, good player but for that much money who isn't. It was a moment of sugar high to break the bank to sign him. If we could a good deal ( say 70-80M), Blueco will do their usual FFP maths and call it a huge profit for us, then spend the money on 2 or 3 upcoming wonder kids few of us heard before. It's the good rinse and repeat.

Compare and contrast the recent interviews from our "star" midfielders :

'I want to become a Chelsea legend. I'm under contract at Chelsea, and my focus is on Chelsea and Ecuador.'

"Now we’re focused on Chelsea and what’s left of the last few games this season, and then we’ll see after the World Cup"

Not to worry BLueCo have a replacement lined up when Enzo leaves. 🙄

"According to multiple rumours, Chelsea scouts are closely monitoring 18-year-old FC Porto midfielder Rodrigo Mora ahead of the summer transfer window. The Chelsea board aren't convinced that Enzo Fernández will stay at the club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season and are already preparing for that scenario."
