Certainly looks like we are going all out for Enzo over Caicedo at this point. We will have to pay big but there seems to be some momentum behind this at the moment so it may yet happen.

It’s strange. The fact a meeting is scheduled gives some indication Benfica are open to negotiate, otherwise they’d of told us to stay in London. 
 

Read somewhere they’d be open to a fee larger than the release clause, but an initial payment close to 100m euros vs the 75-80 we initially proposed.

This is essentially being funded by Roman discounting the sale price in exchange for a contractual commitment that the new owners I would commit substantial funds to rebuilding the team. One rumour is that the commitment is £1bn.

Amazing to think if this happens, between injuries and new signings we can effectively introduce the following 

Mudryk, Maudeke, Felix, Fofana (center back), Badiashile (still new), Fernández, James and Chilwell. That’s 8 players

Yeah it does not make sense why there are meetings if it is release clause or bust. But have there been meetings since that first exchange or has it all been ITK talk?

Until the shovel hits the dirt I won't give up hoping that we find an alternative site. Building away from the Bridge makes sense from every angle, not least being that it works out way, way, way cheaper because the costs can be offset by selling/redeveloping the Stamford Bridge site.

Imagine how pissed Benfica will be at us if we pull this off. 

2 days before deadline. 

Rui Costa will hate us to death. I got one Benfica fan working with me. 

Better make sure I have eyes at the back of my head before he decides to strangle me.

Then again, doesnt already 80% of the football community hate us after this window?

You're right, the vast majority of Chelsea fans disagree with my point of view. I've seen some put forward grounds to justify their view, but most give emotional reasons which is fair enough.

I remain commited to relocating but I don't really believe that it will happen.

Pretty sure Romano, Law or someone else reported that they are divided. Otherwise we wouldn’t have wasted time still trying to get. From reports, Rui Costa sounds like the only one that is blocking the deal from happening.
