I think we probably are back in. If we’re serious in wanting him it’s now or never, no more 7+ year contract in the summer, plus City will probably be in then.

Also appears numerous stories of benfica trying to increase release clause along with a loyalty payment. Either we’re talking to his agent and things are maybe happening, or about to be even more priced out.

I thought the first rejected bid was £88m and a player plus 2 on loan?  This is the same without the loan players.

I doubt it’s happening this transfer window. Maybe in the summer.

I think it depend who you ask around here. Some already thinking about getting Bellingham. 

 

I think this deal depends on Benfica's replacement. If they can't find one, no deal...we can always help him buyout his contract but I think we would have already done so if we were going to.

Various reports our new director team have been speaking to several agents about many different options to assess the best one.

Think Enzo won't be coming.

That is not my point. My point is a lot of people here want Enzo to play holder which is absolutely bizzare.

The type of window we have been craving for years.

No messing about please Chelsea, if we are “ruining football” we might as well ruin it properly.

Chelsea officials could travel to Portugal to try to get this one done - just as Eghbali and Winstanley flew to Turkey to get the Mudryk deal over the line #cfc

Crazy times gents, I'll be honest I don't think they will accept €120m with €80m paid upfront purely out of principle and to be spiteful, but also just because they don't want to sell. 

The owner wants to play hardball, unless we've smoothed things over with him I reckon it's release clause or nothing. 

Problem is when you drop €120m on a release clause, the whole financial package can end up being €160m- 200m if you count player wages especially since we're doing 7 year deals.

On another note I'll add on that nothing has changed from the player's side he's wanted to come since we first moved for him. The numbers are astronomical, but at the end of the day he's exactly what we need. I think Boehly knows this and will try and get it done. Let's wait and see
