We may as well save 100m and tell Jackson to simply shoot more, or buy a good striker. Where does Gyokeres factor in those metrics UB ?

January 15, 20251 yr 2 hours ago, TheCeleryKing said: The Jackson debate is ridiculous. Jackson is a good young centre forward. He holds the ball up well, chases down everything, he is 100% effort, even dyes his hair blue, etc. Problem is his finishing - at this level IF a striker get 3 chances in a game - he has to score at least one of them. NJ doesn't always do that. This is because that that level of 'football intelligence' takes time to develop. On the plus side, NJ is hardly ever offside this season, compared to previous seasons. Therefore he is lurning. He is getting better. The club needs to sign another striker - Mark Gui is too young and needs a loan. The other options and the idea of a false nine etc. Are not suitable. NJ needs another striker to compete for a place with in the starting line-up. It is pretty obvious really. Healthy competition. But yes, we should keep NJ around, because he is a good player. fake news

January 15, 20251 yr Cheers guys. Probably not much in it once you factor in the quality of defences in the Bundesliga and Portuguese leagues.

January 15, 20251 yr Please don't give the owners ideas with Sesko. He's the Slovenian Morata. Also, haven't we given enough money to Leipzig?

A different player to his Liverpool days and a shocking start with the price tag and alleged injury affecting him massively! But I wouldn't say he was out and out sh*t for us! Nowhere near! I feel sorry for him as he really wanted to be our new Drogba! I think the last 5 prem results are on him to an extent! If Drogba/Costa/Anelka/Jimmy etc get those chances, it's more than likely a goal every time! We are then 3-0 up and the opposition is on the back foot all game! We start well, get a goal and then Jacko misses a few clear chances which then puts the onus on the other team to come at us and get back into the game! It's been the same since we went from second place to absolute sh*te! Jacko would be a decent player behind an elite-proven striker! Mod. Really. He put in a shift? Damned with faint praise. Take a chair. Torres was, without a doubt, mostly sh*te. No revisionism. No Blue tinted glasses. He was very, very sh*te. Breath it in. Suck it up. Put on your own thin Alice band and sky one in to your neighbour's garden.

January 16, 20251 yr The comparisons a few months ago being better than Isak. Isak has now scored in 8 games in a row. Up there with RVN and Vardy. When you're in that scoring record territory, you are a certified top Prem striker. Jackson is chasing 6 games without a goal.

Looking at the EPL, Cunha from Wolves looks the best after Salah 22 from 51 last season and Arsenal are considering. Touches of Henry, Hazard and Costa though have not seen any headed goals might be one drawback. He has pace and an excellent shot and dribbling. Takes great corners too. He likes Utd's manager so we may miss out. Edited January 16, 20251 yr by strider6004
