September 17, 20232 yr Bar Chilwell and Palmer, that bench is so bad. I get we have injuries, but that just looks worryingly bad.

September 17, 20232 yr Strange lineup with few key players out. But we still have got enough quality to provide a victory here. Few players are getting a good chance to prove themselves and maybe put their names into the lineup for the next game. COME ON CHELS!!
September 17, 20232 yr Where is our £115m midfielder that we just signed? I've heard nothing about an injury.
September 17, 20232 yr I'm guessing this is more of a 3 4 3 in possession with Gusto pushing on and Colwill tucking in. Or worse, it's still a 5 at the back with Les playing LWB. Either way Colwill does not look comfortable defending those wide areas. Chilly must have a knock
September 17, 20232 yr I'm feeling post international break optimism. I reckon it'll be a convincing draw.
September 17, 20232 yr Hopefully It's Not This Piss Awful Hybrid System With 7/8 Defensive Players That We Came To Love Through The First 4 Games

An article which for me supports the idea that we should go 4-2-3-1 with Chilwell at LWB and having two natural wingers. A game that should actually suit Mudryk due to Bournemouth's high pressing and high line. Bournemouth will not sit back so this is ideal for him. Unfortunately, the few games Mudryk has played this season has been against teams sitting deep, bar the Liverpool game. This game there will be a lot of space for him Mudryk, Sterling and Jackson to get in behind, especially with Fernandez looking for that killer ball. I would like to see Poch give him that vote of confidence, even though I doubt it. High line exposed Upcoming opponents Chelsea need to ready themselves for that tigerish attitude, but will also feel that they can exploit the risks Bournemouth are now prepared to take. Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford all created numerous chances when bypassing the Bournemouth press with quality pass-and-move football through the lines. A good example was when Dominik Szoboszlai ran into an empty channel vacated by left-back Milos Kerkez, who decided to leave his position to press Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield (below). Midfielder Joe Rothwell sprinted back to cover the space, but ended up conceding a crucial penalty equaliser. Last time out in a 2-2 draw at Brentford, Bournemouth's high line was consistently exposed. This clip below shows central defender Illia Zabarnyi follow striker Yoane Wissa into midfield, but from there the Bees produced a 3v3 triangle to deviate away from that piece of closing-down. With fellow defender Marcos Senesi also drawn towards the ball, an inviting space was left for Kevin Schade to run in behind Max Aarons for a 1v1 with the goalkeeper. The speedy Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling will hope to make good use of similar situations at Vitality Stadium. When Bournemouth’s defenders choose to take a proactive approach, they must do better at stopping attacks like this, at source. In that same match, Bryan Mbeumo’s stoppage-time equaliser also punished Bournemouth’s unsuccessful press. Despite leading 2-1, Bournemouth committed players to close down Brentford’s defenders, forcing their defence to push up towards the halfway line - and one long pass into the space left in behind undid them. I am going to convince myself Poch read this 😄 If so, maybe players and manager(s) to read this forum 😄
September 17, 20232 yr The bench. Where is Madueke? Chukwuemeka still not fit? Substitutes 20Palmer 21Chilwell 28Petrovic 29Maatsen 36de Souza Eugênio 42Gilchrist 47Bergström 52Matos 62Stutter
September 17, 20232 yr Are Noni and Caceido injured? And still no Broja on the bench, think it may possibly be another month or more before he is able to start a game.
September 17, 20232 yr A lot of attacking options to come off the bench. Two keepers and Ronnie Stutter to sub on and knick a goal or two. Up the Chels! Let's chuck another billion quid at dog sh*t!
September 17, 20232 yr I’m sure I read Caicedo was being tested because of his international matches.

September 17, 20232 yr I'm usually a glass half full kinda supporter, but this side looks void of anything to get excited about. Let's hope Sterling and Mudryk together can conjure up something we haven't seen yet? We really need this win.

September 17, 20232 yr Seeing both teams' benches, I had to do a double to figure out which one was ours, haven't heard of many of these kids.

September 17, 20232 yr LOOK at the bench!!! 2 goalkeepers and some other lads. Palmer obviously a good option to have. Maatsen and Chillwell. We are very well covered on the left hand side. Deivid Washington to come on and score the goals?
