We just need to give him a run of games, he just needs a bit of luck, as soon as one goal goes in, they'll start flowing. Have faith, eventually Torres Morata Higuain Lukaku Aubameyang Falcao Kezman Jackson will come good.

Pato slipped your mind.

Comfortable win without being too impressive. Big save from Sanchez at the end to keep a clean sheet. If we were playing well we would have scored a hatful. Positive to see James and Badashiele back. Palmer is a class act and Sterling had his moments. Jackson seems to have lost confidence and needed to score from that one good chance he had. In retrospect he never should’ve been put under the pressure of leading the line for us this season. He’s trying hard and credit to him for not hiding.

A win is a win, I'd take anything right now 😄 It's not that bad of a performance despite the obvious deficiency, we actually scored more than a goal. Nice to have a couple of important players back, hope they came through and be ready for the weekend

Can't be too critical but had Blackburn been a EPL team we might have been punished a few times.  And I wish that in the future when buying a back four player they can pass the ball FORWARD more than 2 feet because this pass, pass, pass across the backline is driving me nuts.   Jackson, needs to go and play in the U21's for a while and find his goal scoring boots or go on loan in January.   Another 22 shots at goal - 7 on target - 31% ..shocking.    Don't know what Maatsen has to do to get some minutes or Washington for that matter, surely he can't be worse than Jackson.   I can see Potch play a false nine or Palmer up top on Monday.    I did notice a few times that Potch was getting angry......good because this lot of youngsters need a kick up the arse at times.

Yes, that'll do wonders for his confidence.

He needs to put the ball in the net and score goals to get his confidence back albeit in a lower level.  Running around like a headless chicken with two left feet looking like a clown at times isn't doing much good for him in the first team either is it.

They should be where we are in the league right now. A few world class goals against the likes of Burnley and Sheffield United are the only reason why they're not. They look like they can get smashed by everybody. We drop points because we lack concentration at vital moments, United drop points because they get dominated all over the pitch.

We look better than a lot of teams tbh the goals just don't come 🥲

Newcastle face Fulham at home the Saturday beforehand and Luton the weekend after.

So they can go full strength against us as the CL group stage is done then.

Well we are out then. Solid defence, top keeper, very good at counter attacks.

Last team I would want to play against for sure, stylistically they are a nightmare.

It'll be one of our toughest games of the season.

Why is it that anyone who week in week out plays poorly for us is always just lacking confidence or is, using the current buzzword, raw? Is there ever an occasion where one of our players is sadly just not that good?

If Jackson was playing like this for quarter of a season at Old Trafford or Anfield, I doubt he’d get much sympathy  on here.

Sadly for the lad and us, we’ve made another mistake signing a striker.

What they did to United, the do to us. Us and United are both well in the mud together, and have a lot of the same problems.

Once the first goal went in, there was little doubt of a win

Good minutes for Reece and Badiashile

Sterling came alive 2nd half

Palmer excellent in the first hour…looked to sustain a knock later

Sanchez continues to have the odd brain fart when we are comfortable

Jackson looks like a player who needs withdrawing for a short period to regain confidence…I’m not convinced he is the answer to our forward woes

Newcastle will be difficult but not unbeatable
