We are very slow coming out on the fast break. Two or three times sterling has been up to the half way line with 5 or 6 chelsea players standing round back on the edge of the penalty area. In the classic phrase you could have thrown a wet blanket over them.

Plus the more I see of Gallagher in the hole the less I like it. It's Poch's defensive mindset again. Put Palmer in the hole and Madueke out wide. Cucu is not bad but Maatsen should have the role tonight.

Not a great performance in truth.

Why only with us is time needed? Haaland no time for example.

Sorry, this excuse is out of date.

I like seeing us with more physical presence at the back. Helps in set pieces at the other end as well.

Can see us going with James - Disasi - Badiashile - Colwill eventually ... (and fitness permitting LOL)

Need to see more from Enzo and Gallagher, a hell of a lot more from Sterling, get Palmer more in the game, and change the batteries in Jackson to Duracell ones ...

6/10 for the collective in the first half.

What potential? His potential looks like hundreds of other strikers I have seen over the years. I can't think of one attribute he has in his locker that stands out.

That said Gallagher did put in the cross that the goal came from and of course works incredibly hard, but i dont think he provides the spark round the penalty area that Palmer can and he gave away a penalty.

Our entire squad is ‘raw’, so I keep reading. For a few seasons it was all ‘we’re in transition’ as to why we weren’t very good. Now it’s because everyone is raw.

We just don't attack with sufficient numbers in the box ... makes it very difficult to score goals !

Really should be putting this lot to the sword tonight and they are still very much in the game ...

This point is spot on. It’s 3 attacking, not 4-6 in the box. the ball is never in behind. Not today but low blocks we should have two players as wide and high as possible, hugging the line. Pull them out.

Havertz is now one of 5 attackers in an Arsenal line up. Hasn’t quite happened for him, but point is he was one of 2-3 at Chelsea and the most focal one of the lot.

A better team punishes us there. Sanchez and Disasi have mistakes in them in every game.

And always in very dangerous areas.

Is it just me that thinks Disasi is no better than Koulibaly?  Not sure what the club seen in him.

He's better. Koulibaly could barely turn, Disasi is fine physically, it's mentally where he is weak. He doesn't stay switched on for 90+ minutes.
