March 28, 20242 yr Hope for a good performance and a decent win. Whatever the outcome, it won't compare with the Easter of 1986 - my worst Easter ever. Got battered by West Ham at The Bridge on the Saturday 4-0 and then battered even more by QPR on the BH Monday 6-0. Talk about Easter ruined.................!!
March 28, 20242 yr With Carney now unsurprisingly unavailable, have to rush Enzo back in. Just hope he isn't too knackered.

Quote Pochettino on injuries: "We still need to assess a few players like Chilwell after playing two games. I think he got a knock in his knee. Today, he wasn't ready to train. We will see what will happen tomorrow if he can be in the squad. Enzo has still not arrived." #CFC — Nizaar Kinsella (@NizaarKinsella) March 28, 2024

Sterling needs time off. One bad thing and the crowd will be on him.

Sterling should be on the bench and brought on later... until he starts hitting the net or making decent assists... then he'll have earned his place back... if he doesn't... I hope he ffs off
March 28, 20242 yr Author I think Sterling is a near banker to start, so Poch can show he is in charge not the fans. Given the injuries and Enzo not being back think this side looks likely: Petrovic Gusto Disasi Badiashile Cucurella Caicedo Gallagher Palmer Mudryk Sterling Jackson

Sterling has had enough starts recently and performed poorly overall so it's time to bench him now, not wait. As for the Arabs taking Sterling - that's the dream - but this recent report (could be bollocks) points to him wanting to remain here and "win big trophies". https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/weightloss/sterling-to-snub-exit-interest-determined-to-win-big-trophies-with-chelsea-report/ar-BB1kcLZ9
March 29, 20242 yr Everyone wants more senior players and simultaneously wants to get rid of Sterling. Fans are weird.

Nothing weird about wanting rid of a player who most weeks is steeling a living. Experienced players who are decent pro's (like Silva) YES. Experienced players who have one good game every couple of months, NO.

Appears to enjoy being the big brother to some of the younger lads. He's not going anywhere I reckon.

We want good experienced players that are still at their peak. Sterling is neither of those things, same with Koulibaly last season. If we had a spine of these players, I think it would take a huge amount of pressure off these young players and they could develop more naturally. I also think we would be easily challenging top 4 if we had done this.
March 29, 20242 yr Author Younes reported Poch said Cole Palmer picked up a knock during England training and is a slight doubt for the game.
March 29, 20242 yr I haven't been confident about predicting any of our game results so far this season but I'll make an exception for this one. 3 points surely ?

He may be past his peak and his confidence is way down, partly I think because he must feel the bitterness Chelsea fans seem to hold towards him Uniquely I don’t want any more experienced players, I would like one more young talented forward to do the job nkunku was supposed to do and if Fofana never recovers, as seems likely, then another young centre back. I look forward to the day when this band of brothers win the league. I think they are good enough.
March 30, 20242 yr Good to know Burnley will be without their in form striker and joint leading score today - kid named David Datro Fofana.
