Oh trust me, I want you to be right. But when I see who we have and realizing the amount of football to be played, I’m worried. And so should you.

Proud of you for being positive. 😉

I agree and don't think we will get the same amount of space in most of these games. That being said, with the likes of Gittens/Palmer/Estevao/Neto we have attacking midfielders and wingers who are very good at beating their man. Pedro loves dropping deep, pulling CBs out of position and Delap is a good old fashioned CF who will be fighting for anything coming his way.

Last season we had Jackson/Nkunku/Guiu who didn't worry defenders nearly as much, resulting in tighter marking in the midfield too.

Nope got nothing to do with Jackson nor player beating their man.

This picture sum up our game vs Leverkusen

We had 4 player in the middle and leverkusen only had 2. None of this is new, this is how we played all year last season except with slight kink, instead playing on the left/right pocket Palmer play in the middle which is an interesting twist.

But because it is 4v2 in midfield, we don't need to cycle the ball around forever to get free man just move the player around a bit, it is impossible for 2 player to defend 4. Get the ball to free man and just attack.

I'm not sure Colwill is that far ahead of any potential deputy at left centre back that our whole defence is suddenly compromised by his unfortunate absence ... ?

The way Maresca want to play is very specific. If cucu continue playing as this pivot which is his best role, our lcb need to play as wide cb and the only who can do that is badi. The big question mark is Hato, if the guy is ready which I have no clue then we don't need CB (because Maresca said that we need cb then I don't think Maresca think he is ready)

Who are you hacking UB's account?

The owners can do no, have have never done, anything wrong. They are both business savvy and brilliant footballing minds.

(other than levelling us with debt that could sink a small country within 3 years, having us mid-table for multiple seasons and getting multiple financial sanctions)

Okay so being critical or pointing out out mistakes they've made are in the lines of: a) get the f**k out of my club b) you don't know what you are doing c) anything along those lines?

And I am not picking out you UB on those lines per say, just the general vibe of the comments some here make.

English isn't my first language so I might just understand the words and sentences the wrong way.

Another good example fits this topic on pointing out mistakes made by Enzo have basically been: a) bald fraud c**t b) sack him c) get the f**k out of my club d) Pepillino e) something along those lines?

Pointing out mistakes to me sounds a bit different but each of our own I guess. Again it could be a language barrier.

You need to chill and let go. Any frustrations any fans have is valid, we don't need novels every time you disagree with someone

I apologize....and don't mention the word patience ever again.

Any positivity towards the club is also valid. So individuals on the forum need to learn to let go when people have different opinions.

Cash in on that and repeat the bet and use the cash out option immediately for 100 times every single day until the season starts and odds drop or go higher. Easiest money you will ever make haha.

For real or is this AI generated?

I’m not picking you out UB, whilst quoting my post with things I’ve not said lol

That CWC final is even more satisfying following last night's PSG Spuds game. Maresca's masterclass would have been a bit less impressive had Spurs beaten PSG 2-0... Thankfully they capitulated in fantastic fashion.

Even if Spurs had won it's not the same PSG that we beat anyway, we faced them at full strength.

PSG looked like what they were: a team that had had 3 weeks off after the CWC and a couple of training sessions back since. Spurs were decent oppo, capitalising on PSG's rustiness. Their games relies on intricacy and rhythm. It was a matter of if or when PSG's intricacy was going to click. It did eventually. In the bigger picture you have to wonder whether the short break and lack of a pre-season is going to affect both PSG and us over the course of the season. Less so PSG in L1.

Who knows how this pre season will work out. It will be rolled out as an excuse obviously if things don’t go well but pre seasons have been pretty similar since football began timing wise.

Swap the CWC with any of our American pre season tours and over than dates there’s nothing in it.

The players have had an holiday, their young athletes and I think they have enough energy rolled over from our end of season success’s to counter maybe being a week or 2 behind the opposition at the start of the season in terms of fitness.

Competition for places will push them as well and I really can’t see what 2 weeks you had of in the summer affecting you to much in March, the beginning is more of a concern.

PSG looked very flat, like a team who had their arse’s kicked in the CWC final but woke up and things went spursy.

We have looked like I say hopefully energised enough from the end of last season and some fresh faces to start well🤞

So many people are saying "Spurs were amazing to push that PSG team as far as they did".......without adding the small context like PSG only being back in training for 1 week. This is why PSG looked so rusty.

Anything to gloss over what was yet another Spursy moment.

The media will never credit Chelsea properly.

It's always a "They're [insert positive word] but [cue abusive statements dressed up as constructive criticism]"

I can't remember what player now but the guys at work this morning was saying that one of them, maybe Ramos, was literally on the beach last week

Interesting perspective at least

Gonna quote @Bob stark here - no team in the EPL will ever defend like PSG or Milan or Leverkusen did against us. EPL teams just don't allow uncontested passes up the middle.

The issue with this analysis (as others) is that it isn't talking one bit about game state. We've only see this system work when Chelsea has scored in the first 20 minutes, so for the most part our opposition is chasing the game against us.

Didn't stop Joao Pedro ripping PSG apart though
