December 6, 2025Dec 6 I'm wondering how long we will give Delap misfiring before Guiu gets more time, surely it can't be too much longer.

December 6, 2025Dec 6 I don't really see Joao Pedro as a leading front man, more the man in the hole and of course Palmer will probalby go there.

December 6, 2025Dec 6 He’s no better than delap or Pedro. Doesn’t get involved much and Strikes the ball the worse of the three.

December 6, 2025Dec 6 He tries hard but honestly I don't see anything that gives me any hope.I'd rather give Mheuka more chances.Other clubs use youth players if they have to, we are only interested in protecting who we've paid money for.Mheuka and Tyrique George (instead of Gittens) should be getting more minutes, their path is being blocked by purchases that haven't even worked out. December 6, 2025Dec 6 Being blunt none of our number nines or false number nines are of a standard that we would be hoping for. If we remotely think we should be competing with Arsenal and City (which we certainly aren't) then we are delusional if we think we can do that with Delap, Guiu or Pedro up front. I can't imagine any of them getting a game or even being on the bench for Arsenal or City.
December 6, 2025Dec 6 Meanwhile the first #9 they signed has banged in 59 goals since BlueCo and Potter gave up on him LOL

Just an endless procession of young players who aren't good enough, but who might turn a profit one day. We've put a fair bit of money into Emegha and he seems to be doing well, the only game I've actually seen him in though is the Palace game where he played well. I like Delap and I wanna give him time but by the sounds of it he has a dislocated shoulder which could be a couple of months out, then he's gotta get back up to speed etc. Having Guiu as a back up to Joao Pedro is just a shocker of a situation, the lad needs a championship loan.
December 6, 2025Dec 6 52 minutes ago, Is good blues said:Well had his chance today so he’s our answerWho said he was our answer? We’ve got three or four options up front: Delap, JP, Neto and Guiu. Of those, I think that Guiu is the best option because he’s got a brain and puts the effort in, unlike Delap who was already flirting with getting a yellow, JP who doesn’t want to be playing judging by his effort, Neto may work against teams with a high line, which are not that many. Who do you think of those options are the answer?
December 6, 2025Dec 6 Guiu can't take any heat for today. He did what he could on the scraps he was fed! It's no help when we make decent build-up play towards their box, for it to slow down and go back through to Sanchez again. It is completely anti-attacking football!

A guy that has only hit double digits once in his career is sadly not going to move the needle.Something fans seem to be neglecting is the usual board briefing around this time of the year. They have said the aim for this season is Top 4, and they are happy with the current state of the squad. Even if hypothetically you wanted to bring in Emegha, UEFA squad rules as per our sanctions means someone would have leave. Unless you can move Guiu back to Sunderland on loan, that would mean selling a Tyrique George.

This is his 1st proper first team season, so just how can you judge him on a lack of double digit seasons? Edited December 7, 2025Dec 7 by dkw
