I am surprised he hasn't been played yet considering he was getting quite a lot of mins during the conference league last season before his injury. Maybe Maresca is not seeing enough in training yet to confidently start him. It does seem a little odd to start George as ST considering he doesn't seem to stand out in that position. I barely noticed him playing last night, which isn't good if you are supposed to play as striker.

I wish someone in the press keeps asking the manager every match conference about why he isn’t playing after recalling him, to force them to admit something. It’s ridiculous they have done this and deliberately stuck his name in the UEFA squad list to get around sanctions put on us. He is just going to sit on the bench till Jan to allow them to swap him for Emegha, another signing that makes no sense.

I’m more worried about how much longer this project doesn’t make Chelsea fans hate what we’ve become in terms of how the board treat players. I for one, hate how they see “assets” rather than players, and us, fans, as customers. And, I’m not alone among my match going friends.

I imagine if he goes to Strasbourg it will be a sale. He only cost 5m and I could see us doing a deal where we give Guiu + cash for Emegha

Isn’t Emegha on loan at Strasbourg presently? Sounds a bit crazy but the club is saying a pre-contract agreement has been reached, but somehow he was pictured in London holding up a Chelsea shirt.

UEFA, The FA and the French authorities might hit us with further sanctions before the season ends for abusing intra party deals. There is the Ishe Samuel Smith “it was a mistake” deal, there is no mention anywhere of a fee involved in the Chiwell deal, and no clarity on if Emegha has been sold to Us and the fee involved.

Honestly I don't think the owners care.

They've removed every trace of the previous regime, bar Reece James, on and off the field, so a refresh of the fan base is probably also part of the plan ! Making things difficult for them is all we have left LOL

Seems he has been signed; the club is being very vague with the way they are wording it.

As for Chilwell, actually googled it now, and it’s coming up as nominal fee with Strasbourg paying his wages. Transfermarkt that seems to be on point with fees has it down as a free transfer.

Assuming Guiu and Emegha swap places in January?
