Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad Player

Featured Replies

This pretty much confirms to me we will give coaches some level of control under the right circumstances.

You may ask why are we giving Maresca that grace and not Poch? Well if had to hazard a guess Maresca probably explained in detail his tactical fit whereas Poch with his targets probably presented a load of jargon which ultimately amounted to "I need this player to run around and/or head the ball out to cover my tactical flaws".

Gutted if we lose chukwumeka who if fit I rate as highly as Palmer. Even casedi would be a loss. Casedi has the airial power few in the squad possess. Chuwumeka and casedi do need to play. Loans I could understand. Casedi played for mares a last season and was getting minutes.

Doubt we will sell Carney. Need as much depth as possible and KDH in the squad amidst the inevitable Nkunku/Carney injuries will be a huge bonus.

Casadei and D.Fofana likely to make way.

Getting picked by Southgate is the defining moment in any players career ......It shows that you are the in your position

Never keen of buying system based players the manager specifically requests

Good player but not one that should be starting for us at all.

Spot on given the short-termism of managers these days. Hullo TT and Aubameyang.

It’s a signing we don’t need and in my opinion won’t improve us one bit  he had a decent season in the championship but the year Leicester got relegated he was bang average sorry but . Our transfer strategy is truly awful and the obsession with Brighton is weird

He got little game time under Rodgers who didn't seem to fancy him. Very effective at Championship level. But it's Championship level.

That's not really true, it just meant a total change of style as we had Tielemans and Ndidi and when he came on the scene they were both playing well. Eventually he got in the team and stopped in. First year in the premier league he was decent, the second season the whole team was garbage.

Honestly, I don't get why you'd want him though. He's a decent little player, but you aren't aiming to scrape into the top six are you, and I feel so far that's about his level. I also didn't get why you'd want Maresca either, but that's me.

NOTE: He was about 10x the player Casadei was last season for reference.

Took a long time for Casadei to get a start. The times I saw him (Casadei) he looked off the pace and could be outmuscled in midfield. Looked better getting into the box. Did Maresca not fancy him?

Football has always been a bit about money, but it was who has it and who doesn’t and what clubs could afford the top players.

Now I worry it’s all about money, signings and swaps to simply avoid financial deadlines. Selling good players to get one hit cash boosts and signing dross to enable swaps and financially motivated exchanges. Probably end up with Conor leaving and when it does you know it’s nothing about football and only money.

This signing might be managers request, but still smells fishy to me considering we poached their manager and they have financial challenges as do we.

Tbh, the times I saw casadei too were nothing special. Thought it could be nerves or something but he didn't do anything of note and looked average.

Just a hint of enthusiasm maybe...iirc

And if this guy is 10x better than casadei, then maybe there's something there. At least he's 25 and will add some pubic hair to the team. Hahaha

Yet casedi has a knack of scoring goals and my understanding was that Maresca gave him more and more minutes. I haven’t seen enough of him. Yet I don’t see the need for dewsbury hall.

Casadei was getting more minutes due to injuries but prior to that he was being used as a sub. He played 875 minutes in the Championship & scored 2 goals so while he was good in the air he wasn't a massive goal threat. His biggest shortcoming was his lack of speed, personally speaking I wouldn't want him back.

Dewsbury Hall is quite a good player, lots of energy, more natural skill than Gallagher in my opinion but in truth I really don't see why you need him. Obviously Maresca is calling the shots on this one but I'm assuming that Gallagher is leaving & KDH is his replacement.

We are offering Armando Broja and/or David Datro Fofana and Cesare Casadei and cash

in the hopes of signing . . . Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.  Do we really need him? Is he a must have player? I understand the new coach would like a player he is familiar with, but maybe Enzo the Elder should get familiar with Carney Chukwuemeka et al?

No idea why we might need this guy when we already have numerous options for the central attacking midfield role.

  • Nkunku
  • Palmer
  • Chukwuemeka
  • Gallagher
  • Fernandez
  • Casadei

Even Mudryk or Madueke at a pinch ... and now Kellyman as well 🙂

Glad to see you are remembering the name ;)

Only think that makes sense is the club taking a more progressive approach with regards to squad depth. Nkunku and Carney based on last season alone shouldn’t fill anyone with confidence they’ll stay fit. If that comes to fruition I’ll feel a lot more comfortable with KDH at CAM than Enzo or Gallagher.

KDH also has the experience many were crying out for.
