June 28, 20242 yr I've seen him a couple of times and am not sure. He is a hard worker, always moving and building play.
June 28, 20242 yr Mark my words. This will be a wasted pointless signing. Will only solidify us a midtable club instead of trying to reach greater heights. All fans get excited when there is no football and a new face walks in. Then within 5 games you realise the level of rubbish we have wasted money on. This signing will be no different.

June 28, 20242 yr 48 minutes ago, gurru991 said: Yes attacking central midfield . He is not a natural winger by any means. You are 100 percent correct in that Maresca utilizes 2 wingers in his system He starts with a back 4 but one of the 4, then usually the LB or RB will move forward & play alongside the single DM when his side has the ball. Then two attacking midfielders, 2 wingers & 1 striker. Yeah I don't see Palmer of Nkunku hugging the touchline. Madueke maybe, even Sterling and Mudryk cut in far more than stay wide.
June 28, 20242 yr Are we not already stacked in midfield? I really don’t understand this move. I know getting money/PSR stuff is right but it feels like the balance sheet is more important than the quality of the team.

I’m up for buying him, especially if he is the managers choice (which I’m assuming he is), I’m just concerned who could be going the other way and who it effects in our squad. I've always liked the look of him. Not sure how he will fit in, but I assume someone will be making way. The assumption seems to be that Gallagher will be off, which is inevitable if he continues to hold off on extending his contract.
June 28, 20242 yr It’s a signing we don’t need and in my opinion won’t improve us one bit he had a decent season in the championship but the year Leicester got relegated he was bang average sorry but . Our transfer strategy is truly awful and the obsession with Brighton is weird
June 28, 20242 yr We do have more pressing needs but will give him every chance and support if he comes here.
June 28, 20242 yr I don't generally have a problem with this...until i see this bollocks. Thankfully its DiMarzio but what sh*te is this. Moving Carney on with a right to buy for a decent, championship midfielder, wtf. Its nothing against KDH but the vast majority of us are firmly of the belief that Carney could blow up at any moment. Bellingham level potential. If true, what are these muppets on?

Leicester have a good manager and they play some interesting football. KDH should stay there.

Bringing in a player Maresca trust will help speed up his implementing his style of play. Sure, the problem is the bottleneck it creates in midfield. He will now block the likes of Santos and Carney, who imho are better talents and crucially - we already have. We dont need a player in that position at all, it might help Maresca a bit but I dont think its worth it for the money and for the issues it creates. I see Carney is already on the way out - so effectively we’re left with a less talented squad, and less money. Thats what you get with these kind of signings Edited June 28, 20242 yr by AndyDowsleftflank
June 28, 20242 yr Never keen of buying system based players the manager specifically requests. Good player but not one that should be starting for us at all.
June 28, 20242 yr I don't think we need him. We already have too many similar players who are younger. So far, we've signed four players, and I don't reckon any of them can improve our squad compared to last year. He'd just be another unnecessary signing, and again we might end up with 25-30 players in the first team.

June 28, 20242 yr It’s Sarri/Jorginho all over again. He knows the system! @Gol15 will defend him to the death!
