Liverpool will get everything their way in the final if they get there, they always do. I think Tottenham would lose to Newcastle anyway. I also don't want Liverpool to win a quadruple.

I don't want Liverpool to win anything.

But I don't want Spurs to win anything even more than I don't want Liverpool to win anything . .

Ha'way the lads !

Remember when we played Liverpool at the Bridge and their player elbowed Dave Azpi on the touchline very early in the game and got away with it ? Refs go blind when Liverpool commit blatant fouls. What about the one on Brighton's Evan Ferguson? Straight down the back of his leg , can't remember the player but even he looked like he thought he was going off for it .

If we do everything too slow, then Tottenham do everything too fast. They don't do anything to slow the oppositions momentum, they just go all out. It's no surprise that half of their team keeps getting injured.

You have to appreciate the pace at which Liverpool play though, and think Pep mentioned it lately that it’s the way forward especially with teams setting up with low block. We are just way too slow in transition to be very dominant.

If the result stays how it is and Liverpool progress, the Aston Villa and Liverpool game which was scheduled to be on 15th of March will instead be rearranged for the 19th of February which is a bonus for us as this is three days before we play them on the 22nd of February and we have a whole week's rest. This is due to the Carabao Cup final scheduled to take place on the 15/16th of March.

Meh.

We literally had a week off against a tragic City side and we made them look like the team that didn’t play midweek.

When do our conference league games start again, any idea ?

Commentator does not even ask about the Van Djyke incident is this fear of the crowd or just closing ranks.

Well, I doubt that the crowd will storm the commentator's box . So it must be your "closing ranks" theory maybe?

Yep, even when we played Arsenal last season and Liverpool in the cup final, they had a game in midweek and we still lost, but I always think it gives advantage to team who has had more rest. For instance in our 3-0 win against Villa this season, came on the back of them playing Juventus.

For us, it will be 6th of March I believe.

Game over.

Have to sack Ange now, surely?

Every time it looks like he's going to get booted out they seem to pull out a result to save him. . Really, he's just unfortunate to be managing a poor team . I still reckon he's alright though, started off well . Then it went all Spursy! Btw that magnificent money making machine of a stadium hasn't benefited the football side of the " business";

i suspect they were told not to mention it.

Listen we beat Spurs all the time hardly ever beat Liverpool at Anfield so unless you are referring to hooliganism in the 70s -80s yet if it is that isn't that dated now?

I think not going to Var for Van Djyke was a Clanttenburg moment, he did not want to risk having the crowd on his back.

I only mentioned the crowd because you said maybe they didn't mention Van Dyke's elbow was because of.  "fear of the crowd". .But I agree, they didn't make much of it all .

Anyway thanks for comments strider, I'm off

Come on you BLUES !

Spurs just doing Spursy things. Ange is just one of a long list of coaches that won't win anything with them.

I expect Liverpool to win the League Cup final, but would prefer Newcastle to win.

He’s probably relieved it isn’t a permanent move

Tottenham have an option to buy at 60m euros. Apparently he has already signed a contract, he just needs Tottenham to activate the buyout option next season.

By that time Spurs will have a new manager, never know what could happen to him 😄

God, Spurs are really terrible. Surely they'll have to sack Postecoglou

Wonder if they'll wait until the end of the season? No doubt the Bournemouth coach will be top of their list. Will be a shame if he goes there as he's doing a great job at Bournemouth and has a good squad, but hard to turn down a club with a nice brand new 60,000 seater stadium when you are playing in front of 10,000 most weeks, even if it is Spurs.
