Martinez has made a lot of mistakes this season. A great keeper to the casual watcher, but when you watch him regularly, you notice how many times he is at fault for a lot of Villa's goals.

We need a draw

Some shameful time wasting at 28mins+ from Villa.

A draw isn't really a good enough result for them, they need 3 points

I think Man City will win this. It won't make a difference to our position unless Aston Villa win. I think.

I feel like we're going to need to beat Everton, Newcastle, Man Utd and Forest to secure a Champions League spot anyway. So whatever happened tonight, I don't think it would have changed much.

Anywho, City were always going to finish Top 5 so this result benefits us. Need one of Forrest/Newcastle to bottle it and Villa keep dropping points.

Damn shame. Wanted City to miss out on the CL for a change.

Our fixture list compared to everyone else's is pretty bleak.

I guess the positive way of looking at it is we've got to match the worst of Newcastle or Forest's results and beat them when we play them

Technically he is awful. Would fail on so many metrics out of the manual. His individual brilliance at times acts as the counterpoint.

Mind you Schmeichel snr technically was a poor goalkeeper and he redefined the position in this country.

But you are right, he has dropped an awful lot of clangers this season, or could certainly have done better. Maybe not as stark as our resident brain fart but just as damaging.

Watched the Arsenal v Palace game and quite enjoyed it. How have we ended up in the situation where Palace play better football than us? Right now, I would take their coach, keeper, striker and possibly one or two more over what we have. At times they outplayed Arsenal and that's with their biggest game of the season coming up this weekend where they could have been excused for resting everyone.

Seen that Leeds are considering sacking Farke now they’re promoted (12.5% PL win rate) would be ballsy but I’d respect it.

I'd be surprised. He has his limitations but their problem is that the current squad isn't up to PL standard. Too many players who can shine at Championship level but already found wanting at top level. An age-old story. Hullo Leicester this season. Rodon? Aaronson? Dan James? Ampadu is a hard worker but too small and too slow for the PL at CB and lacks the skills for midfield. Piroe? Basically a poacher who will be swamped by any half-decent PL defence. They're going to have to spend a lot of money. Which they seem to have after robbing several PL clubs blind with the likes of Rutter, Somerville, etc.
