@Valerie must be partying at the moment with A**x blowing away their title hopes.

This season was bonkers. PSV blew a massive lead after december, then f**king A**x blew a massive lead when it matterd, namely in May. Now i have tp practice putting on a sympathetic face for my office day tomorrow 😇. It's so hard not to gloat 😛

Nice change of pace. Final game of the season and an Abu dhabi derby between Al Wahda and Al Jazira.

couple of known players on show.

  • An out of shape Nebil Fekir, who isn't running much at all - but he is an ex ballon d'or nominee - so will let him off

  • Mohammed AlNeny (or something like that - ex arsenal egyptian lad). We are booing every time he gets it

  • Neeskans Kebano - ex fulham LM

  • Also a guy called N Chadli (who scored) but not sure if it's the same that used to ply for spurs.

£10 per ticket - for the premium seats. stadium 20% full....full on show with pre game fireworks and champ league style ball in the middle of the pitch.

I wondered what the tifo was all about... great tribute by the Palace fans

When Crystal Palace supporters unveiled a giant tifo during the club's historic FA Cup final win against Manchester City on Saturday, two fans inside Wembley froze on the spot.

Seeing themselves displayed on the banner were brothers Nathan and Dominic Wealleans, who were pictured celebrating in disbelief with their father in 2011.

The family were celebrating a thunderous 35-yard Darren Ambrose strike, as the Eagles beat Manchester United in the 2011 League Cup quarter-finals.

After the brothers' father Mark lost his life to cancer in 2017, the image has become a symbol of lost loved ones for Palace fans.

Crystal Palace and their fans seem to get a lot right apart from the football itself.

When they played Hartlepool at Selhurst in the Cup a few years ago, Palace subsidised coach travel for Hartlepool fans . £12.50 return. .Over 4,000 fans came down many on those coaches

Palace fans also raised thousands to pay for cancer treatment for the wife of the Hartlepool manager. .It's those sort of things that go a long way , certainly the Hartlepool manager and fans were full of heartfelt praise .

I recently listed to their Chairman Steve Parish on the Gary Crowley show and have to say, for a football club owner, he came across as a really decent bloke. Proper South London. Nice to have a life-long supporter take over the club, knowing he will always have it's best interests at heart. Bit like what might have been for us if Matthew Harding had taken over.

They might not be able to sign £100m players and will always have a struggle to hold onto their top players, but they are a proper run club.

When will a long shot on Kepa not be a cheat code, people will bang on about it being a great goal but in context it’s just all Kepa.

Yep, Kepa was great at making things look impossible to save, not so great at the actual saves. These "goal of the seasons" happened every other week with him.

He stays rooted to the centre of the goal, have zero ability to read where a shot is going and move across appropriately and makes really weak jumps from a terrible position.

Hmmm, a red for city, but within 5 mins a red for the Bournemouth player, man city player rolling around , crowd baying for blood and 8 players surrounding the referee, didn’t matter he won the ball, studs weren’t up BUT var said red

They’re building a statue for KDB.

After building a statue for David Silva, Kompany, Aguero… I imagine their stadium ground will look abit like this in 20 years time

image.jpeg

Not to mention the statues they’re doing are so ugly too. Vulgar tatty club, no class.

Still can’t believe Kompany got one, so so small-time, just unbelievable. On that merit, they’re essentially needing to give every generation of players a statue now.
