Argued that at the beginning of the season. You take out Palmer and Estevao, and Neto is the best of a bad bunch of wingers. He along with Garnacho & Gittens are counter attacking wingers who need space behind to exploit. They have no business starting for a top PL team with most teams sitting deep.

Gittens has shown he can take men on in a low block, he’s just too nervous to consistently do it.

He beats one man then either losses the confidence to play a good pass, cross or shot. He also often will beat a defender, then that defender will just use their muscle to get back in front of him. The guy has a serious issues with physicality. It's the worst I have seen at the club since Saul Niguez.

Part of me hopes that with time in the league he can grow out of it. I remember how weak and pathetic Salah was with us and we saw how he turned out. Obviously I’m not saying Gittens can become a Salah but he’s got the quality to be a good player, just not the confidence/physicality to do it atm.

Good coaching would help but the owners seem to be averse to that.

Fair point but there was no reason to pay £52m & given him £100k/w with those glaring weaknesses. If he is ever going to reach his potential he will need lots of mins which he isn’t going to get at a top club.

A Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth type club is where he should be playing where he will under no pressure. Same applies to a Garnacho who I don’t rate, I don’t understand what we are trying to do.

Struggled today, and has for a couple of months now excluding the odd goal. Trouble is, I'm not sure the others are any better, but I'd probably give Garnacho more playing time on the left (assuming Esteavo is locked on starter for right).

Can Quenda play left wing?

Can't believe the criticism. I know he had a shocker against Newcastle but he's arguably our player of the season so far.

@STATS people saying player of the season in reference to our conversation on the other thread.

worst player on the pitch - could have costed us a goal with his role in the mateta chance, missed a glorious opportunity himself.. then let his man go multiple times, and could have been sent off .. having said that i think he was trying to search for the ball rather than stamp.. media narratives are crazy..

We need to make space for Jesse Derry

Needs moving on in the summer, feels like the sort of player a Saudi club might come in for

The Brazilian league starts this week and Flamengo are paying £40m for Paqueta. Someone surely can stump up some dough for Neto. Palmeiras maybe. Part of a deal for Vitor Roque maybe

One person accounts for several fans does it? Anyway pretty sure you will have your knickers in a twist when you see Garnacho on the bench and Neto starting on Wednesday.

Nothing to do with hom being hooked snd everything to fo with Rosenior finally fixing his initial cock up.

Neto was diabolical last night but so were Gittens, Garnacho and to marginally lesser extent Estevao.

Two things can be right at once. Rosenior fixed his cock up of starting Neto!
