Despite the comical goal I do feel we were a lot better defensively against Inter.

Attack I'm not worried, we've got more gamechangers in those positions than we've had in years and i think we can absolutely hurt City here, but I really hope we build on that Inter performance defensively.

I agree...I think we have really good attack options. Midfield looked decent but still a bit iffy at times (they shouldn't be able to run right through the middle like they did a few times) and the defence was better. Cb's still worry me a bit. And sanchez still scares me outside his box and with his passing.

There will still be mistakes and slip ups but yeah, this maybe the best time to face them but I still think they will be too much for us. I really hope we can keep it a decent score line.

Edit: oops, there's supposed to be 2 quotes there not just argo, my bad.

Isn't it a fact that pre-season matches mean absolutely nought?

Sanchez

Gusto fofana colwill cucurella

              Lavia

        Palmer    enzo

Madueke Jackson Nkunku

Possibly put Palmer in RW and caicedo in the 8

Sub on neto and move nkunku in the 8 if attacking

Possibly Change the cbs (Badiashile for colwill) idk what maresca thinks but none of the defenders give me confidence and gusto at the back in a three scares me if cucurella pushes forward.

Its funny chalobah would have been perfect to play the gusto role in the back 3

Of course I am excited to be kicking off with a home game and getting one of the harder fixtures out the way.

I don't think they look great, however at least they got stability and experience on their side.

I can see a bore draw, I am fascinated about how we will do though, its all been a bit untidy I feel.  One thing is for sure if Poch was still here I would be well up for it.

Anthony f*cking Taylor as referee. F*ck off you bald c*nt

Gave them a penalty for Haaland getting cucuraella in a headlock last year, lets see how the bald piece of sh*t beats that...

And then Romeo tugging Cucurella's hair the season before.

Honestly hilarious that after one instance Jarred Gillett is banned from officiating Liverpool matches yet Anthony Taylor who has actually has a CV of horrible officiating against us continues to get our biggest matches.

How can anyone take this league seriously?

I'm sure he will find a way...

I would like to see:

Keeper

Gusto

Fofana

Colwill

Cucu

Caicedo

Lavia

Nkunku

Palmer

Jackson

Neto (if he’s fit enough)

I think we will likely see something close to this linn up. Although almost certainly Enzo will start in midfield, and Nkunku in the attacking 3. I suspect Neto will be on the bench. On form Madueke should probably get one of the wide roles. I'd argue a case for Sterling as he tends to do well against City.

We don't moan or shout as much as Liverpool and even if we did it's Chelsea. Everybody hates us. We just have to be smarter unfortunately and expect the ref to be a c***.

Because the Liverpool machine, and I include their fans in this, are much better than we are at vocalising the issues.

We had the petition against Oliver, but Liverpool fans would be out on the streets, protesting and demonstrating if a ref did to them what Oliver has done to us over the years.

I hate liverpool, and their self entitled fans - but we need to give them all some credit in how they protect their own interests, in a much better way than any other club.

You are preaching to the afflicted here Val. I comb my hair with a flannel and have done since 2002.

But all similarities with Twat Taylor end there.

I dont know who you follow into the bathroom.....

But....

Think of the last thing that they wash with that flannel, just before you rub that thing over your beautiful bonce.
