Given our model, definitely. I fancy our chances with Delap because he knows he could potentially compete with Jackson.

If we get through this festive period in touching distance of the Scouse I’d happily see the ownership go all in on Delap & Guehi in January, really feel they’d both add that extra something we need.

I don't really know enough about him, but gives me Evan Ferguson vibes (hype, not top level) more than Cole Palmer (we were all off there though).  Am sure I'll be sold after a YouTube video!

I haven't seen anything from him in the games I've watched to show he's good enough to be starting for a team going for the title right now. He'd probably be an improvement on Jackson, mind.

No. He makes our defence look like clowns because they don't defend. He's a bruiser, plays the game at full speed from first minute to last, but his touch play isn't exactly anything to be impressed by, he just bullies his way through teams.

How is this type of striker going to work in a Maresca team that demands close control of the ball and passing through the lines? We won't even be able to make the most of his good attributes because we won't see any of it.

I’m really impressed with him, the way he can carry the ball forward and still manage to strike a few really good shots on target.

You may say our defenders don’t defend but they’re very capable of stopping an attacker but they simply couldn’t find the time to tackle Delap because of the way he carries the ball.

I think he would be a really good fit for our team actually.

If he’s available for under 50m in January we should be all over it.

You’ve not seen much of him? His touch is excellent.  He also hits the target with his shots more often than not.  He certainly did tonight when our attackers couldn’t score in a brothel.

Looked like an absolute upgrade on anything we currently have in the squad. Looks a much more complete player than the dross of Osimhen or that PSG bloke.

The way he dives he’s up there for a gold medal in the next olympics.

Against our defence Jackson likely looks like Drogba, that's probably where that comparison comes from, in training.

No probably about it. He almost single-handedly terrorised our defence last night - something that Jackson isn't capable of and never will be.
