Maresca, dear me, 2 wingers in the team who will both put crosses in and NO striker, Garnacho needs a striker in the team, otherwise he is going to be just like Sancho, beat his man and then have to go backwards because no one will be in the six yard box

He doesn’t have a final ball so it won’t matter. Also, this is Garnacho’s usual game, head down and run at players (which to the untrained eye looks good-ish) or at least like he’s contributing, and then Hollywood shot, or just nothing at all.

He came off, then we won. A pattern that will repeat itself.

I thought he did alright, he’s done what’s expected from a squad player really, and in my eyes that’s what he is at the moment.

I feel like he has the potential to have a break out season but it’s fine if he doesn’t, his current level is fine for a squad player.

I thought Garnacho did well. But can we talk about the freaking ridiculous dive? Should he have stayed on his feet and maybe had a shot on goal? I hate players that dive. It's embarrassing. Simulation or gamesmanship? Personally I think that We don't need this mind set.

I think Garnacho went down too easily as you say, however a penalty at that point in the game would have hurt Liverpool. I also think his effort from the edge of the penalty area that clipped the outside of the post would have hurt them. He was trying to gain us an advantage and whilst he might have stayed on his feet it was Liverpool, they will always look for someone to blame, look at their feeble penalty shout when Reece was pulled down they were crying foul. Their luck has run out, VAR can't help them and they are conceding late goals not scoring them.

I think Garnacho could have some squad value for us - especially against the lesser teams. But he really has to stop diving like a complete ckunt*** - that is no way to behave

I think it’s easy to forget Garnacho is still only 21. Very much a young player still learning the game, inconsistent, tendency to overdo things whilst trying to impress. He put a shift in against Liverpool. Did he go down too easy in the area?maybe, though who can tell when a players running and a push in the back, is there a definitive? He will improve as he gains experience, time will tell to what level.

Rightly hooked at half time. I wanna give him a chance to prove himself but he isn't doing himself any favours with performance like that.

I can'tunderstand how a winger at this level doesn't get that he needs to come in back post when the right winger or full back is getting to a cross, he just never ever reads it. You could see how frustrated Neto was eventually time he looked to cross .

He's better than Gittens and has more end product than Neto.

Congratulations to 25 year old Neto in his prime for scoring today, he is now 1 PL goal ahead of 21 year old Garnacho despite being in the league for 7 seasons.

If Neto manages 2 more goals next game then he'll then have more career goals than Garnacho, despite playing 42 more games.

Close, but even that was less obvious than this one. At least he had a good few seasons at Inter.

Lukaku deal felt like an inevitable failure that genuinely pissed me off the club pursued. Wasn’t tailored for Tuchel’s system and has a history of falling out everywhere.

Garnacho feels like a similar thing. Not tailored to be an isolated winger, sh*t, and only time will tell if his personality will rub everyone wrong.

Keep coping.

As you ‘alluded’ to previously, all that matters is the here and now (Garnacho’s past foolishness as a person, horrible stats, and eye test failures) omitting, fresh slate, new season. Pedro Neto will have more end product this season than Garnacho, despite your attempt to now put asterisks over the latter; 3 extra seasons omg??, Pedro Neto a grandpa at 25 lol, but but Garnacho this, Garnacho that..

Strap yourself in, gonna be a long season. 007 incoming.

I actually think Garnacho has more natural ability than Neto but his attitude is f**king awful. I don't think either of them are the calibre Chelsea will ultimately need if they ever want to be back in the mix for the biggest trophies but if I had to pick one over the other I would pick Neto all day long. Garnacho is hideously lazy and lacks any remote degree of playing for the team. That was abundantly clear when he was at United which makes signing him so baffling.

Both Neto and Garnacho aren't good enough really. Neto has his moments, but he will score or assist one game and then do nothing in the next 5. He would be my first choice on the left, mainly because the others are so terrible.

UEFA credited him with the assist against Benfica 😆

I know, what an absolute joke, going to ignore it though, due to having eyes and a basic understanding of what should make an assist. Like with Fabrizio Romano, his agency probs has UEFA people there giving charity PR.

Never been a fan of Neto per se, just in direct comparison to bums.. he’s clear.

Going to ignore stats due to personal agenda lmao listen to yourself. When Neto was 21 he finished the season with 1 goal and 1 assist in all comps, 1 goal to go to match his output!

They’re both mid, at least Garnacho has upside. Neto’s level was Wolves.

What is his upside?
