I also said an Ancelotti type of manager, not necessarily Ancelotti himself. A manager that allows his players to play with freedom, not force them into a system that restricts them. Mould your tactics around the player, don't force the player into a system that will only hurt them. There's a reason why people said Palmer wouldn't have worked out well under Guardiola, and we have Pep lite to prove that point.

Nah - the game hasn’t moved on. Still need to play 11 v 11, still need to keep clean sheets, still need to score. Same sh*t. Different day.

Only thing that is different is that we now have stubborn managers playing the latest in vogue “system” - which we just do worse than others.

There will always be another manager, system and formation that can do things better/different - even if it isn’t trendy.
