With the clowns ability to control the ball I wouldn't want to halve his chances by having a touchline alongside him.

Play players out of position which makes transitioning the ball that more difficult on top of the already slow tempo we play. Clog the midfield and deliver crosses where Cucurella will get to them unmarked.

I'd say marginally better. Purely on the grounds that Nico doesn't do much but Werner got caught offside 57 times a game as he wandered around wondering if he left the iron on.

Very few positives, sloppy and boring play

I'm not going to complain about Cucurella getting us goals, but I still think the way he is playing is a net negative for us overall. That offside goal was the perfect example of him getting in the way of the attacker. Also, look at us when we lose the ball, we have no left back. Why isn't Maresca instructing one of the midfielders to fill in the gaps?

If he's getting praise for how clinical the players were earlier in the season, he needs to be criticized for their bad form they simply can't get out of.
