Anyone take notice of that Espanyol GK?

My honest wish is that we actually don't sign anyone, bar maybe a striker.

We have spent enormous amounts of money on a massive squad. We already have Quenda, Essugo, Sarr, Santos, and Petrovic all supposedly coming back. We also have Kellyman, Anselmino, Wiley, and I'm sure I'm forgetting many others.

If the policy is still signing young unproven potential, then we are really stacked in that department.

I know that we desperately need a striker, but I don't trust the people who have already signed four strikers who haven't really moved the needle for us to get their fifth striker choice right. I'd just give more time to Guiu, unless we really go for a proper game changer.

We definitely need a striker and a goalscoring attacker. Other than Palmer, you could say Neto and Jackson, there are no goals in our forward line. We need 2 more for sure.

I already asumme no KDH, Nkunku, Felix, Chuku, Chilwell, Sterling, Disasi (this list is insane and growing )

This is not the squad that I want but this the squad that we have and I already assume some player will be in the bomb squad.

1 - Get the front of shirt sponsorship sorted out. It's ridiculous how long this is taking.

2 - Get a proper striker.

3 - Get a better keeper. If Petrovic is that guy, then bring him back.

4 - Get a left winger that can score goals.

5 - Get a CB, preferably one with a bit of experience. If it's another young player get one that is already playing at a high level, not another potential player

6 - Find a way to offload the ridiculous amount of players we have accumulated.

7 - The owners get a grip, stop acting so recklessly and sack the two moron directors.

8 - Maresca has us playing better football and not this miserable trash we have been playing since Christmas and stops being such a pathetic yes man for the owners. If things don't improve and the football is still just as bad by October, sack him.

9 - Palmer is given freedom to be Palmer again.

10 - I win the lottery. Only me. I don't want there to be 5 winners and I have to share it.

As soon as I saw the thread title and Loz as the author and immediately knew it would be a dig at Enzo Fernandez 🤣

It's funny because according to sofascore ratings (yes i know they are imperfect but they are also completely objective which I like) he's Chelsea's second best player this season and the 11th best in the competition overall (average rating in the league who played over 60%of the matches)

As for my wishes for next season......

We had the youngest squad in the league by some margin this season and already have Petrovic, Santos and Estavao coming in. Apart from a new striker and a left back (to cover for Cucurella), I think the focus has to be improving the players already here rather than buying a bunch more.

To be fair, we are still building and improving as a team/squad. The only hopes I have for next season is solidifying top 4, a decent run in the CL, and potentially a trophy.

4. We sign a decent goalkeeper to tide us over for the next season

Can't make the same mistake as Villa and Newcastle. We need to build a squad that can sustain Champions League football at the very least.

I'm surprised the big clubs haven't been linked with a move for Mbeumo.

Had a great season - and outperformed his xG significantly too.

I think we've already got too many right wingers for him to be anywhere in our radar sadly ...

I think he's a good player to ease pressure off of Estevao, whilst Neto/Noni can fight for LW.

It's an easy layup for us. He adds goals which we desperately need, and even when you don't take this season into consideration his output is still consistently better than all of our wingers.

I'd have him in a heart beat, but I just can't see our DoFs heading in his direction !

Ok, I think that now that the season is over, it's time to make some wishes. Remember, these are wishes, it doesn't mean that the club is going to do anything about it.

1. The board to change their attitude towards Chelsea match-going fans, stop selling most tickets to corporates and tourists, and make a plan for a new stadium around the Fulham/Earl's Court area.

2. SDs to change their policy of only buying "youth with potential" or f**k off.

3. Maresca, change your style to a more entertaining one or f**k off.

4. Palmer to play on the right, where he is world class.

5. Get a proper goalkeeper and sell Sanchez/Jorgensen. Place Petrovic as second.

6. Get an experienced CB to play with Colwill. Sell Badiashille, Disasi, keep Chalobah, Tosin and Acheampong as backups.

7. Need solid backups in the FBs, both, right and left. For James to stay fit for the whole season. Sell Gusto.

8. We need Lavia to stay fit and to integrate Santos into the team. I'd keep Enzo as a bench option and sell/loan KDH.

9. We desperately need a winger that is capable of shooting and scoring regularly. Integrate Estevão and George. Palmer on the right. Sell one of Neto or Noni and, if not possible, do not retain Sancho.

10. We desperately need a 10 to play behind the striker if Palmer is to play on the right.

11. STRIKER! Guiu could probably play second fiddle to the starting striker if we can't get a backup. If we can get a backup, send Guiu to Stratford on loan. Sell Jackson.

Nowadays players on loan do not get much experience unless they are top players. It's proving tougher to get a loan that is successful. So reduce the loan army.

Targets met this season, seems as good a place as any to put forward what, I believe, should be our targets for next season, given rmh has covered general wishes very nicely.

1. Win The CWC

2. Make it to the proper knock out rounds in the CL.

3. Minimum 4th place league finish.

4. As a fall back if the CWC is not won win either domestic cup. We must have some more silverware next season.

Securing Top 4 comfortably (displacing one of Arsenal or City as the next also ran behind Liverpool)

A domestic cup, ideally the FA Cup.

Champions League 1/4’s.

Some more attacking purposeful football please x

I could list a load of players I’d like sign and obviously trophies I’d like to win but simply I’d like more conference final second half less first. Start sending them out like we’re a goal down, speed things up. Don’t start slow and have to chase the game, start fast get a nice healthy lead and finish slow to kill the game.
