BAYEN 2-3 REAL MADRID,

Players just don’t learn, Bayen player rolling around pretending hes injured, holding his leg, referee plays on and Madrid score

Watching the Arsenal v Sporting game. Must be a first for me, wanting a team playing in green and white horizontal stripes to win.

Sporting by far the better team but lacking any sort of composure in the final third.

Was right about Arsenal having a bye to the semi finals. Now Barca are out they have a bye to the final.

Hopefully psg get through the semi. I'd have more faith in them to win the final

Bit of pot calling the kettle black though, as we are on the verge of the FA Cup final and haven't yet played anyone. Even our SF opponents only have 5 teams lower than them in the PL

Never hidden that we have got a flukes draw in the fa cup. So did arsenal actually.

But there are levels.

fa cup is one thing, CL is supposed to be the best of the best, Bayer and Sporting are europa league level teams.

Arsenal really look like they are running on their last resources. Sunday could truly define their season. If City beats them, I think they will need a miracle to still win the league and knock Atletico Madrid out.

Barcelona would have been a better matchup for Arsenal as Barcelona are chaotic and Arsenal would have taken advantage of that. But Atletico is the kind of team that Arsenal have struggled all season long. And if they lose against City, those Atletico Madrid matches come right after Arsenal play Newcastle, have Fulham sandwiched in between them and then West Ham away who are fighting relegation.

All this while City gets a lot of rest. The thought of Arsenal ending this season trophyless and Spurs relegating is amazing. It would make for one of the greatest ever seasons this country has ever seen.

Every man and his dog just automatically assume City will beat Arsenal on Sunday.

But much like the Sporting second leg arsenal don't have to win, a draw gets the job done and they can just spoil and counter.

I had to suffer the Arsenal game as we have father in law staying with us and he's a gooner but boy, what a bore and I was seething when I kept seeing updates come through of the other game!

That said, in the first half Sporting played some very good football. Looked much the better footballing side and all looked so comfortable on the ball and played it out from the back how it should be done - not the sort of stuff we have to witness and suffer. However, I saw Quenda come on after 70 minutes and he didn't do a great deal. Looks a strong possibility of being yet another Mudryk, Gittens, Garnacho..................................................

Is it only me that thinks Arsenal will win the Champions League? They won't be the first or last team to win it whilst clearly not being the best team in Europe by a distance. Sometimes your name is just on it. And I fear that people are overestimating City as well. Arsenal have definitely not blown it yet.

I do have a feeling that they are getting away with PL and CL this season, as bad as they are playing, they are having the required luck to win things. In the PL, I thought that City were not that good in the first half at the Bridge, and if they play like that, they won't be able to get through the Arsenal defence. And City are quite inconsistent this season, that's why they are not on top. In the CL, At. Madrid can challenge them, but ultimately I don't think that they've got the quality to beat Arsenal. It will be tough in the final, with Bayern or PSG having some very good players, but defensively they are not that much. Basically, I agree with you that this is Arsenal's year, unfortunately.

Did not realise Guler had gone to Madrid, did Camavinga deserve to go?
