April 29Apr 29 I reckon Atletico will beat them at Emirates. Can’t see Arsenal creating many chances and today’s been a bad day for Atletico attackers. Surely it can’t happen twice in a row.
April 29Apr 29 Author 1-1 was the most predictable result. Atletico are just one of those clubs that can't take that extra step up.

April 29Apr 29 Any steps to cut out Arsenal players diving is fine by me.They are too used to getting away with it in the Premier League, it's about time refs stopped giving them soft penalties.
April 29Apr 29 Hopefully Atletico have at least tired Arsenal out enough for fulham to get something on the weekend.
April 29Apr 29 I don’t know, the Athletic defender barged into Gyorkes and so to me it was a clear penalty, and the one on Eze should have stayed a penalty and not overturned on review since the defender stepped right on Eze’s foot in the box.

April 30Apr 30 While I’m surprised it got overturned and the amount of views they had to come to that decision is wrong, I still stand by the my initial thought it shouldn’t have been a penalty anyway. It would have been a super soft penalty and IMO those kind of penalties should have a higher threshold. The fact it happened to Arsenal of course makes it sweeter and funnier.I guarantee if somebody’s foot brushes against Eze’s in the corridor at Arsenal’s training ground or at his house he isn’t hitting the deck.He tried to buy a penalty the same way a lot of players do but especially Arteta’s Arsenal regularly do and it didn’t work out this time.I don’t go with this media outrage that Arsenal have been robbed.
April 30Apr 30 Burnley and Scott Parker go their separate ways. No great surprise. Not the first time has he been found out at PL level, even if their summer recruiting was sh*te. Set a Championship record for the meanest defence, naive to think it would transfer to the higher level.

April 30Apr 30 Can't understand those who would like Simeone to be our coach. I know he is a no-nonsense guy and yes, it would be good to put a few ego's in order, but I'm not a fan and just find his style of football dull and uninspiring.

I think the profile of manager that he is is what these players, and in all honesty what this football club needs. We are too soft.

We are too soft. And that takes us back to the age-old discussion / argument about whether people are happy to win, regardless of how.I think the answer is often yes, when a club hasn't won anything for a long time (like Arsenal this season). But once you have a trophy or two, then the answer surely becomes no. I could not sit through the dull football we had under Maresca for example, just to win the odd trophy now and again. And that would be the same if it were Simeone. Wouldn't want to watch a load of grinded out 1-0's, 0-0's and would prefer someone like Iraola to get us playing more entertaining football, especially if he brings through some of the Academy youngsters like Ibrahim Rabbaj.
April 30Apr 30 I'm in the win at all costs camp.Whilst human suffering is a terrible thing if it means the Chels winning then I'm turning a blind eye.We can't even begin to dream about attractive football with our clown directors. If I'm falling asleep during a 1-0 win that is at least a step in the right direction. April 30Apr 30 Well I'm sort of torn between the different styles 1... Playing boring sh*t football and winning trophies. 2..Or playing boring sh*t football and winning f**k all 3..Or playing great football and winning trophies.4...Or playing great football and winning f**k all For me, it's Number 3, then Number 1, then 4 then 2.Mind you, isn't it harder to win things by playing sh*t football? Maybe not, as Arsenal might be about to prove , for the sake of the game I hope they win f**k.all

I think Mervyn Day was in goal and he made a couple of ricks ? Anyway I know we won the game, we were in the old West Stand, there was a passage of West Ham play that was so good it actually drew applause from us .!
