Yes not sure what's going on there.

An insane fee for a bang average winger like Moreira. Something fishy for sure !

Agree, notoriously stingy these days Italian clubs and they pull this out??

A few bob coming our way.

I've never seen anything like it. In a world where Savinho goes for £86m, we can't get any sort of transfer fee for the majority of our players.

The idiots who run the club keep slapping all these ridiculous fees on our players. No surprise that no-one wants to pay what they are asking.

"Buying" clubs all know we can't go into the season with 40 odd players so why not wait until the desperation sets in LOL. Discounts and loans a'plenty in a matter of days !

Well said. It was dumb to accumulate those players and think of profiting off them. Will be surprised if we sell anyone before the window closes.

The big problem that they absolutely refuse to acknowledge is that they significantly overpaid for almost all of them, have done very little to develop them (you could argue that they have regressed them in many cases) and yet expect to sell them for significantly more than they paid.

4 player sales so far this window. Cucurella for a loss ; "pure profit" for academy players Tyrique George and Trevoh Chalobah (thanks Roman and Neil Bath), and an admittedly decent return on Andrey Santos, who they probably shouldn't have sold from a footballing perspective. Great work chaps ! Champagne, cigars and bonuses all round ! LOL

He’s part of the group training away from the players Alonso is preparing for the season.

From what I understand, not quite a bomb squad but definitely not involved against Fulham and in conversations with other clubs.

Himself, Tosin, Delap and Desasi.

Plus he’s sh*t.

We also need the profit.

Think FIFA has put a stop to that concept. “PREM stars banished to their club’s “bomb squad” will be able to demand a free transfer under a peace deal between Fifa and the international players’ union.”

Think our lot are being careful now, as they are allowing them to train side by side with the main squad. Will be interesting to see if one of our players tests the “free transfer” clause. That might be the only thing that stops the nonsense.

I never understood the concept anyway, you’re paying these players.

Things may be said in private like find a move your not going to play much here etc but To announce they won’t play publicly and ‘bomb squad them’ties your hands incase you may need one of them during the season and devalues them.

So many ways round it though, it is after all just a made up terminology. Especially while the window is still open, if players agents are actively talking to other clubs about a move it would make sense XA working with the players he definitely knows will be available/ in contention for the Fulham game.

Enzo is slightly different for the reason given, if his position becomes untenable at the club wether that be jeered of the pitch by the fans, the club decides to bomb squad him or he plays up and refuses to train etc his value plummets.

Just need to start taking the hits on these players, move them on permanently at a loss if needed and start fresh. Although that would mean some people would have to take accountability for overpaying for dross in the 1st place

55mill price tag on Watkins. Villa just sold Konsa for that same amount to Arsenal. If Watkins goes to Al Hilal the previous linked Jackson to Villa is likely to be bon the cards. Has been bubbling about this summer since we bought Rogers.

The idea of bomb squad is to force the player to move.

Stuff out there that Jackson has decided he wants to join Atletico Madrid, who are only offering a loan deal while we are currently insisting on a permanent deal.

So a deadline day loan seems a good possibility.... As do ones for Guiu, Delap, Tosin etc given the lack of movement on them too.

After Villa getting their arses handed to them today and Watkins going awol, maybe this Jackson thing has legs to it after all.

Could be.

I would venture Emery cannot be happy. Had Rogers and Konsa sold, Watkins set to leave. After delivering the Europa league and champions league football for Villa.

It seems that Jackson to Villa is a done deal but won’t go through until deadline day to circumvent the swap rule as that will be the 46th day after Rogers signed.

This has been reported to be false. The only way this deal happrn is if villa and us don't need Jackson n Rogers number for uefa stuff.

where are all the cartel who were buzzing about when the loan to Bayern ended, and he came back? All pretty quiet. I thought the prodigal son had returned and he was ready to rip it up for chelsea as the elite player he truly is....

...but alas, here we are, bomb squad, listed, and nobody interested enough to put their hand in their pockets. Who saw this coming?
