I don't understand Joao Pedro's role in this team when Maresca starts him with Delap. You would think he would play as the second striker, but Maresca has him as an attacking midfielder.

Was just 💭 the same. He’s a quality player but he looks lost in whatever role Maresca has for him today. Not contributing like delap who seems to have become utter tripe since sigining for us.

Delap has grown into the game

The Gittens cross and Neto header was the only piece of quality football in the whole half. Thankfully it ended up in a goal for us.

Well we're in front. Not very inspiring first half as usual. Dunno about wearing the green, Chelsea played like they'd been smoking it! 🤪However I'm fully expecting the goalfest in the second half
