@axman2526 was spot on when he said Potter was our guy. And that he had to deal with a truly awful, horrendous injury list and just needed a bit more patience. He was right again when he said there were signs we was turning the corner and it was only a matter of time before we would be "walking in a Potterland"

Now we have poundland puffa jacket Pepilini. A Potter-Lite imposter.

Looks like you picked a hell of a night to stop drinking ...

Leeds he lost with his line up. This one lost with his subs.

Oh it's much bigger than that. It's his entire footballing belief system.

We only have two players in the entire club that tackle for the ball. Caicedo and Santos. As part of this arse gravy control possession football employed here these players are actively being coached to only defend space. This has a natural result of encouraging players to cheat because if they are defending space and not challenging then they can afford to jog over to their man rather than pressing hard. Therefore when the opposition go up a gear we are constantly on our heels, inviting pressure not shutting down etc.

There is nothing wrong with these players. Well there are a few frauds and we have definitely been catfished over Gittens when the entire fanbase knew that Semenyo was the answer. There is nothing wrong with these players, it is totally down the footballing philosophy this bloke and idiots like him perpetuate in the game.

I feel no malice towards the man, I am sure he is very nice, but I despise every aspect of his footballing philosophy and cannot wait for this bloke to be gone.

Another one just like Cundy scared to tell the truth because they wont be allowed in the bridge again

Haven't heard from Cundy in a while, but he used to just tell it like it is, did he switch up suddenly?

You've got a player who has scored a goal in each of his first three Champions League games ... and you leave him on the bench LOL

The man is an imbecile.

I really thought he would start Estavao. He's been playing in the CL but stops now. Atalanta are a poor team and he would have tormented them. We had very little guile on the pitch and Maresca seems to be able to make all the wrong decisions.

He won't be sacked, because there are no standards, so he's not missing any targets. We're just told this a a young squad a few years away from challenging for anything, so he'll plod along for a while being mediocre, all the while we continue to add more 16 and 17 year olds and continue to be a young squad years away from challenging. It's simply not about winning for this ownership. It's about player flipping. And apparently it was about trying to maximise revenue after the CWC, but they still can't even get a f**king shirt sponser.

@Zeta I saw that someone else had quoted your post so I had to scroll back a few pages to find it myself.

Bang on mate. Its their fking Target Operating Model.

Still cant get my head around the subs.

Bizarre to overlook Santos initially, buy even after Fofana has to come off, why dont we just put one of the actual right backs at right, move Achampong to centre back, and bring on a midfielder in Santos.

How are we expectes to score goals with Cucurella and Gusto taking turns to pop up in the 10.

This is probably the strongest ive felt about a manager. He needs to go.

The similarities to last season are incredible. Literally went from feeling high after one game to sinking to pathetic levels. The exact same thing happened last season.

Totally agree. By the time we reached February last season we only had the Conference League left, and it was only a strong finish in the league, align with many rivals being poor, that squeezed us into top 4. I doubt we will be able to navigate deep into the Champions League as we simply aren't good enough. And the league is starting to look much more competitive this season.

If something doesn’t change soon our season will completely implode, we’ve reached our ceiling with him and won’t get anywhere with him at the club

Can easily see us in the bottom half of the table come the New Year

We are a prime example of everything that can be wrong about being owned by people who don't have football at their core. And that isn't for a second a dig at them for being American, its a comment on the individuals. Our owners simply don't get the culture of football nor are they rooted in the sport to the extent that they see or care enough about what Maresca is doing wrong.
