I struggle to think of an equivalent under qualified / not ready for the role appointment in football (or other industries). How can so many see it yet a select few can’t.

With the utmost respect for Rosenior, he simply isn’t ready for the role.

Id suggest that Iraola would have been even more unequipped for the role. And he had a lot of backers here.

I think Rosenior won't be right. But I've been certain he's out next manager for a long long time so have come to terms with it.

If he can put players in the right positions and not overthink things, we should still finish top 5.

Until we get an elite manager who is allowed to challenge the board, we won't win the title. But I think there's a few names + -- Southgate, Iraola - who would have sent us way down the league.

Well that's Comedy Central right there LOL

Sanchez must be sh*tting himself if he's seen that 😂

FWIW I think he could make a good manager one day and didn't do that a bad job at Hull.

Hull have and tried and fired many managers since.

I do however think this is a huge step and with the boards recruitment and rotation policy he doesn't stand much of a chance.

I'll be fully behind him of course if he lands the job and the plus side could be he won't do weird things like Maresca.

I actually feel sorry for him, he'll be thrown in at the deep end if he says yes and if he says no he is unlikely to be asked again.

I just hope fans remember that the board is the real problem not Liam Rosenior.

No top manager is gonna come to Chelsea under the current conditions.

I wish him good luck, he's gonna need it.

I watched it in real time. Penders got pelters over that as well. Fking morons. One thing i would say is that this lad would have been in the system for what, a dozen years, from about 7 or 8. At no stage during his entire time in academy football, scholarship or pro contracts, would he have been coached to have played like that. Then gets pelters cos the idiot manager wants him playing as a sweeper.

It sounds like Maresca and his inverting full backs were merely the warm up for the really clever stuff from Rosenior ... LOL

Badiashile and Tosin licking their lips.

All I want to know is where the fullbacks end up in the attacking phase. Just in asking the question I can feel my soul getting ready for torment.

One inverts into centreback and one becomes a wingback usually.

Think he generally plays with two wingbacks who stay wide.

Much like Maresca, he likes building up through the middle with overloads, but instead of both fullbacks occupying that area like eye sores he has his midfielders and attackers occupy that space.

Sanchez

Chalobah Fofana Cucurella

James Caicedo Santos Neto

Palmer Estevao

Pedro

On what basis do you think that Iraola would been less equipped. He has been managing in the strongest league in European football since 2023. In what way would he be less equipped than Rosenoir, who has never taken a top flight game

Iraola looks perfect to me.

  • Plays decent football.

  • Gets the team performing better than the sum of the parts.

  • Doesn't bat an eyelid when you strip away all his good players every season ... 😎

Better equipped that this surely?

As with player recruitment, we're dividing ouselves over manager appointments.

Lets keep focus on the board. they're the ones who need to go, they have recruited managers and players not up to the calibur of the league.

Two things here, one, depressing seeing Chilwell playing there knowing what we now know about the bomb squad.

Love a manager who gets sparky on the touchline, sick of these emotionless data sifting droid bot managers. Perhaps he can fire the side up to perform in the first 45 mins of games.

Remember away at the Emirates last season when Timber told Maresca to “do better” after Arsenal were spanking all game? Maresca just smiled and tried to pat him on the back?

What kind of Italian is he? Even Ancelotti as cool as he is would’ve decked that trophyless d**khead.

Maresca is just another footnote in our history now. By all accounts a good guy but his football sucked the life out of the club. I can see him at a club like Juve... Best of luck in his future career, I hope we wallop any sides he's manager of in future playing progressive football.

As for our next potential manager. He's going to need some brass tacks and fire this lot up for the remainder of the season. All players back in contention.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO SEND BLUECO THIS CLIP

Sticking it to the American President and ridiculing a poor transfer strategy ... two ticks in my book but probably detrimental to his BlueCo career LOL

It all suggests a spiky character who should have a good chance of beating Maresca's yellow card haul if he gets the job !
