In my lifetime, our biggest rivals have been, in no particular order:

Spurs

Leeds

West Ham

Arsenal

Millwall

Man Utd

Liverpool

Out of those, some are more terrace related than actual football on the pitch and the likes of QPR and Fulham wanted to be our rivals where we kind of laughed at them.

I guess a lot of it, will come down to who is the successful team of the moment, so since the late 70's onwards, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd have becomes the teams you always want to beat. Of course you always want to beat anyone, especially Spurs & Leeds, but in the last few seasons, I suppose I want us to beat Arsenal and Liverpool more than anyone, because both annoy me equally - especially their fan-bases.

But I post this now, because even though they have been very successful for a fair while now, Man City never bothered me and I was of the opinion that if we can't be winning things, I would much rather City did than Arsenal, Utd or the Dippers. But I think that may have now changed. With the two Enzo's now at City, I am looking to the games where we play them, and I probably want to win those more than any others this season. The thought of us losing to the bald pep-lite fraud and the tattooed Argie c*nt....................well it just can't happen. This rivalry might only last all the time Maresca is there (which hopefully won't be long at it will all end in tears), but the first time we play City will be the day after my birthday in December and it will be the best birthday present I could wish for if we take those 3 points.

In my parallel universe there is only one rival, Liverpool.

I would prefer it if we don't give them the oxygen. Irrelevant club and they are welcome to have both Enzo's

Never disliked United. Arsenal I dislike them as a club, but don't get too bothered if we win or lose against them.

Liverpool and Tottenham are the four games every season I care about the most.

For me the games I really don't want to lose are, in order.....

Spurs - Needs no explanation.

Liverpool - Arrogant entitled fans, games in the 2000s added to it.

Arsenal - See above

Barcelona - Horrible cheating nasty team, but always media darlings.

United - This one has faded since they've been sh*t

As in which team do I dislike the most?

Tottenham. Always.

I think there are teams where the hatred runs deeper and is more personal (Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds, etc.) and others where the rivalry is more circumstantial but there isn't any particular bad blood (Man Utd when we were both competing for titles in the mid-to-late-2000s, Man City now they have their new aerodynamic manager and racist midfielder).

But f**k Tottenham. Hope they get relegated.

Spurs. Above and beyond anyone else ever .

Nothing will ever come close for me.

As for Citeh ? They've taken the two Enzos off our hands and given us Cole Palmer. I quite like them!! 😂

I used to really hate Utd under Fergie but since he went they don’t fuss me either way.

Born too late to really understand the Leeds rivalry in total honesty, they were a Championship/League One side growing up!

Might sound odd but most my memories of Arsenal are us absolutely turning them over throughout the 00’s & 10’s. They used to play some ‘nice’ football, had that nice new stadium, never really a threat to us in any way shape or form.

Now I find them eye wateringly boring and the beginning of the end for the PL but that’s just recent and recent isn’t really a rivalry.

Their fans on the other hand, they’re borderline Scousers with their insufferable ness. If they aren’t harking on about ‘ThE iNvInCiBlEs’ (They didn’t win the most, score the most, concede the least, get the most points, they were draw merchants) then they’re being cringe 40 somethings using words like ‘Bruv & Fam’ unironically in head to toe Club Shop gear.

Arsenal - their fans have been unbearable lately - you’d think they’d won the league 3 years on the trot the way they carry on. Let’s not forget just a few months ago they was boasting they would win all 4 trophies.

And then there’s that annoying Arteta….

Spurs of course, but TBH I just find them comedy value but I really wanted them to get relegated last season.

I used to be ok with Man City but with them having the two Enzo’s now and how they both carried on they are a club I’ll be keeping a keen eye on.

I enjoyed the first season but I struggle with season 2.

Leeds.

I've always thought that City fans have more of a rivalry towards us than we have to them.

As a millennial, PL-era, Australian fan:

3 - Arsenal - grew up watching us get turned over by them. Bridge's CL semi goal was a truly transformative moment.

2 - Liverpool - unfortunately the most supported club in Australia by some distance. Their success in the 1980s was widely covered here due to Craig Johnstone's involvement, then Kewell in the 00s coincided with another wave of relative success. Can't go anywhere in Sydney without seeing some Scousetralian full-kit w**ker..

1 - Spurs - Inexplicably massive support in Australia. Virtually every second English ex-pat here supports Tottenham; I suppose that's why you kicked them out. When Postecoglou took over the situation was nauseating, couldn't go anywhere without some screen showing his fat mug or their disgusting jersey.

But the main problem is their fans and their club are unceasingly arrogant, despite the club's trophy cabinet being emptier than @PloKoon13 Little Black Book of late. Spurs hold themselves in a category that has nothing to do with their achievements on the pitch, entirely underwritten by commercially-derived money. They are no different to Chelsea or City for that matter, other than we have trophies to show for it.

Just now on the pitch has to be Arsenal.

It is also annoying in recent years we have not been able to capitalise on Utd's woes at OT.

We wait to see if we can match, City and Liverpool on the pitch.

Not sure about off the pitch, coming into Charing Cross or Victoria stations, Millwall were a concern back in the late 80s and early 90's, also aware back then we had off the pitch issues with Spurs and WHU.

If I had to put other clubs into order in which I'd be most upset if we lost to them, it would probably be:

• Spurs

• Arsenal

• Brighton

• QPR

• Leeds

• Liverpool

• Man City

• Man Utd

• Fulham

For me it's mostly Spurs and Liverpool, followed by Leeds and West Ham. I suppose the current Arsenal team would be up there now, but historically I've not given much of a sh*t about them. Couldn't care less about the manc clubs.

When I first started supporting Chelsea as a kid was probably QPR based purely on where I lived and Chelsea and QPR being the two nearest clubs and a large demographic of those areas supporting local teams, QPR had a decent team at that time from what my ageing memory allows (Rodney Marsh era) lol.

From a club to club perspective I think was no doubt Leeds at that time.

Evolved over the years to be Liverpool but would defo say Spurs probably the longest running rivalry that I've seen during my years.

Would hasten to add hard to split my score on the dislikeometer between Spurs and Liverpool hate both with a passion although hard pressed I think Liverpool still give that extra buzz of satisfaction personally when we beat them. The 4-2 FA Cup win still ranks amongst my favourite experiences at the Bridge.
