RIP Dave Sexton
My first manager as a Chelsea fan, he brought us trophies with one of the best Chelsea sides that I have ever seen. Dave will now join other legendary members of that team who have passed, Ossie, Hutch and Peter Houseman. RIP Dave Sexton, a true gent.

MOTM vs City
Simples today, Dave was rock solid at right back, doing what all good defenders should do and that is defend, a bit to do on his attacking contribution but his first job is to defend and he did that very well. Also a shout for Ivan. I have said on more than one occasion that he is a centre half and not a right back and today he proved where he is of most value to the team. Just seen Luiz's block on Balotelli on MOTD, tidy!

MOTM vs Shakhtar
Oscar pour Moi Shakhtar are a quality side not seen too many sides that good at the Bridge in recent seasons, not a team to be drawn against over two legs me thinks! A good and vital win for us tonight against quality opposition and some interesting defending from our back five............ onwards and upwards.

MOTM vs Man Utd (H) (League Cup)
Oscar for me, the lad is starting to warm to the EPL and his class is starting to shine through, he will only get better......... he's a game changer. This is not to detract from the impact that Hazard, Rambo and Mata are having on our fortunes, we are blessed with four of the very best young midfielders in the world. If only we had RVP up top, we'd win the lot including the world cup!!!

The Luiz witch hunt!
I agree and have expressed the same opinion in other topics myself, he is not, never has been and never will be a natural full back, he is by trade a centre half (this is not to detract from his by and large excellent contribution to the teams success in his time at the Bridge). By the same token I am not convinced that David Luiz is a centre half, maybe with a bit more experience I will be convinced otherwise. Maybe DL could have a run out at right back or in midfield, the lad has great feet and can play, he is after all said and done a Brazilian so why not let him have a go at expressing himself in another position.

Shakhtar Donetsk vs Chelsea (CL) 23/10/12 KO: 19:45 BST
disappointed at the lack of quality in our passing, we have a soft underbelly I'm afraid. Credit to SD who are working their proverbial's off.

2012 Football Rivalries
Got to agree with Mike Carefree on this it's definately Sp*ds, particularly if your old school Chels. Let's not forget Dirty Leeds back in the Seventies though. My top three hates are: Sp*ds Manure Dirty Leeds. I Have always been toatlly indifferent to the likes of Foolham, QPHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Weasles, Wet Spam and Gooners.

Chelsea v Atlético Madrid (USC) 31/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
I was there, we played sh*te, Branner is not a Full Back, Atletico played fantasticlly well, there centre forward was better than ours, RDM needs to fix the broken bits, no one died, lets get over it and move on....................................... as Chels fans we have been here before, it's part of our DNA. Butt-hurt Arsenal Fan
Both great reads, the gooners hate us for our financial clout and the Sp*ds just want to murder us, their pain is almost tangible. Could not resist quoting the following extracts (spelling and grammar atrocities included) hopefully with the our Moderators blessings from the Sp*ds forum............... "If croatia do sh*t in the Euros I'm gonna kill some f**king chelsea c*nts". "no you know what, lets go kill these c*nts out my house. You'll see me on BBC news tomorrow, f**k this sh*t f**k all of this f**k bollocky I can't even leave the house. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DID THEY HAVE TO f**kING WIN" "There are c*nts singing outside my house. I'm f**king dead serious lets go kill these assholes" "words can not describe how upset and angry i am to lose champions leage football to a team that do f**k all for 120mins and most of the season. we need a new TFC piss up to help us get over it",. "having been to almost every home match and a couple away matches plus Wembley, i am very harry out as i have been before, if we are going to lose all our players then lets start fresh" . "this c*nt cost us third and is a massive c*nt so lets get rid of him and never have to see his gooner/spammer head again, yes hes done well but for two years in a row he has failed to meet his targer, called the fans idiots, said the best we'll get is 5th after getting 4th and been a massive c*nt" Happy days

The Oscar thread
Although deal not officially confirmed I grabbed these two word bites from the SKY SPORTS web site as they serve as a pleasant reminder as to our current status in the footballing world and allow us to reflect once again on the glorious achievement of the 19th May 2012. "The European champions..................." "European champions succeed in £25million offer"

Good luck JT
Why do the TV journalists still refer to the "Alleged Affair". Either it "was" or it "was not" or can no one be bothered to actually find out either way. If that's the case why don't they just drop it? Judging by the SKY New's coverage post verdict, the Not Guilty has rather left them flat. Now they are on about the FA and what they are going to do regards the Bringing the game into disrepute charge that is still floating around!!
- Good luck JT

Who was Chelsea's best player at Euro 2012?
JT for me, gave it the works even after a long season he was still getting in there and putting himself on the line for the team.

Redknapp sacked
Happy days, what a great end to the season. Lets hope this is the start of their decline into the Ryman league.

The Official Euro 2012 Thread
Great to see Sheva hitting the back of the net and that reception when he left the pitch was awesome. As for England, a points a point and we still have a punchers chance. Can anyone explain the point of Milner, what does he bring to the England team?

Where did you use to stand?
In the middle of the shed, sometimes right at the back and sometimes lower middle, depending on the crush. I loved the "we all come from Battersea woof woof woof woof" chants made me chuckle. Once got slung out by OB having gone to a home match v dirty Leeds on my own. OB said I was pushing when I clearly had my hands buried deep in my crombie pockets! So went out and paid to get back in again, what a feckin mistake that was it was a nil - nil draw!! Mid 70's I made a foray into the NS with my mate Pat from Sutton. Most memorable was v Liverpool. Got in early, sang Liverpool songs and drew their fans to us. When the players came out of the tunnel we erupted with CHELSEA, CHELSEA, CHELSEA and steamed 'em - made the mousers bolt to all corners. We were given a police escort back to the Shed end where we were royally greeted - could you imagine this sort of thing happening these days - oh the innocence of youth!!!

WHERE WERE YOU WHEN DROGBA SCORED?
Block 337 Allianz Stadium Munich - one of the lucky ones to be in the ground. I was standing in the top tier directly in line with the corner from which Mata took the corner, then in a flash Drog buried the header. The place went wild..........................
