Random Rumours

Coutinho is pretty injury prone, and just not an upgrade to Oscar. I don't see many upgrade to Oscar at a reasonable price either. I don't mind us bidding for Bentake, only worry thing is his injury record. I think he will do the Drogba job, and better.

Not sure but he didn't look out of place in the summer from what I saw.

Will see what happens, it all depends on how much Dortmund offer.

Didn't he have work permit issues? I thought that's why he was not kept in the first team squad.

A former Chelsea random rumour, city are planning to bid for Kevin de bryune, along with bayern and psg holding interest in the 35mill rated man.

He won't be guaranteed starter for any of those teams despite how good he is, it'll be the same problem he had with us. I don't see the move happening, at least not this window

the most recent rumour is we are being linked to this kid from ajax. i like his directness on the wing, reminds me a little of the young ronaldo and he's only 20. i think there's a couple other teams monitoring him too, including bayern munich, which to be fair would make sense considering they need to replace robbery.

The Dutch league is weak compared to Spain, Germany, England, France etc. He should be dominating it like Depay has done this year, wich is the one we should have battled United for.

I think we might struggle to find a good winger this year to be honest, unless we sign Griezmann. We only have Hazard, Willian and Cuadrado as our natural wingers, with Cuadrado beeing a huge question mark for next season.

Barcelona have said they won't sell Pedro and Lyon Chairman saies Lacazette will stay for another year. We might go for Sterling, but I question his mental strength and he seems to struggle infront of goal.

You already mentioned Bayern is out to replace Robbery, wich means competition for us for the best wingers.

Well, i think 9 goals and 7 assists in 23 appearances is pretty damn good; he also only turned 20 this month. I think this kid could be worth a gamble, but maybe it's worth giving him another season to see how his stats improve as i doubt he would make our first team yet anyway.

Exactly this, it's always hard to judge talent based on 1 season, consistency is what we need importantly. A lot of people can have 1 good season, but if they can't replicate that in future seasons its just not good enough

Random rumours:

Yaya Toure

Dzeko

Toure just turned 32 so even if this kind of thing was more than a bogus rumour, it's a little too late. Having said that, Yaya You're with Matic in midfield (!) would be pretty fantastic to watch for a season.

Dzeko - personally never been that impressed by Dzeko, except a few games for Wolfsburg I saw him play pre Man City, but I know a lot of fans still rate him quite highly.

Dzeko anyone?

according the this week's transfer news, we are looking at the following:

benteke

dzeko

unal

griezmann

toure

bale

rob green

anwar el ghazi

   :face_palm:

i wonder what next week will bring us lol.

Most of them I personally would not want to see happen for various reasons.

However the few I wouldnt mind are:

Green (If Cech decides to leave)

Griezmann (Would bring much more of a goalscoring threat)

Al Ghazi (Kid seems like he has potential for the future)

Rest are pretty silly, including Bale

Can't see Toure and Dzeko in Chelsea. With Toure's wage he will finish in MLS or PSG, we don't need players with his age and I'm against his behavior. Dzeko is not good enough.

Exactly, and the season Toure has had this year too, will not be worth his wages of fee.

Thinking about the yaya toure transfer again, I think it could be a very good one for us actually. We are looking for that type of midfielder, one who can score from distance, power his way through defenders and shoot, as well as being defensively sound, albeit not perfect. I think he would certainly add some great strength to our midfield. RLC won't be a solid first teamer next season, but he can definitely come in regularly to replace toure in the latter half of the game. The only issue for me would be his wage demands, however, he would likely cost us the price of mikel, so it would be a bargain. I would rather toure over mikel tbh, and I'm pretty sure many others would too.

We've got a policy of only offering 12 month deals to players over 30.

I don't see Toure wanting a 12 month contract and I don't see the club breaking their policy for someone who's looking on the decline, especially as he would become one of our best players.

Basically, to get all Dragons Den, it's a no from me. For the money and hassle I think there are better options out there. I'd rather take the game on RLC next season or bring in someone like Khederia on a free.
