Plays behind the striker at Lyon now but started on right hand side.

I would see him as a bookend for Hazard on the right hand side. Of course the challenge is that he has similar flaws to Hazard, he isn't big on tracking back and tends to want to drift into the centre rather than offer width. 

In the current set up, the wingbacks provide most of the width. Both Hazard and Fekir would really be inside forwards if it's the usual 3-4-3... 

Would love to see him here. 

Provided Pedro is offloaded, with Hazard, Willian and Fekir, maybe another pacy, direct winger (Zaha? Lozano?) that area would be sorted for a while...

Then you have Kennedy, Boga, Musonda, Hudson-Odoi, all of whom could possibly replace Willian further down the line.

fekir at CFC is the replacement of hazard methinks. Since Rumours see Hazard at RM apparently ...

I’ve watched a fair amount of ligue 1, Fekir is a real talent, the prem would be a step up, but I’ve no doubt he’d be a success. 

I like fekir and in this current 343 I think he would be great.  

Not sure whether he would be the right player to play wide in a 433 though, he seems to play very narrow, and if hazard is doing the same thing from the left, it could all be very congested in there. 

Great little player though.

So if Morata goes who do we sign upfront?

I think Giroud would suit us for another season though agree we need back up and another that can play in a two upfront. No name springs to mind yet sure there is someone out there that fits the bill.

Maybe just bring Michy back in that case. Although as much as I’m a fan of Giroud I don’t think you can have him as your star centre forward for a whole season.

Agree about Giroud yet not Michy.

If we had sarri in charge I wouldn't mind having a front three of hazard martial and one of Bailey / fekir. 

Been thinking about this a bit. Morata can be infuriating with his misses and falling over but if we did sell him I can't say there is another striker on the market who we could get who would suit our style. 

Icardi is one who is a clinical finisher but he is a bit like Michy in that he is pretty poor outside of the box. He also doesn't get on with any of the Barca crowd (read Fabregas, Pedro etc.) because of the Maxi Lopez situation.

Beyond him there isn't much. Maybe Werner who is quite small. I think we have to persist with Morata for now or change our style so that it suits Michy.

Rui fariri (however you spell it) our next manager. For gods sake roman get rid of the Yank and the lady. Get a coach that can pick his own players and whats more pay the money for the best British players. The europeans their heart aint in it, even though the special one has well gone past his sell by date thats the one main thing he got right.

Werner is 5’11”, not exactly small for a footballer.  Maybe if you compare him to the strikers we have, then sure, he’s shorter than them.  He is well built and fast so I’m sure he’d do fine.

I would be ok with Werner or Martial up top, if Morata is sold.

Pretty much made my mind up on what I think we need, what type of player I’d like to see come in. But was just thinking, if we need a striker, I know people will disagree, but Mitrovic is still young and has bags of talent, not sure Rafa wants him.

While there's potential there he's only really performed in the Belgian League and Championship. Right now we have Morata, Giroud and Bats who are all better than him

For me, the players we sign this Summer should be in positions we need and would actually improve our first 11, Mitrovic would just be another depth signing who we don't need

Yea, fair points, I was thinking he could be a possibility, as a back up striker, we’re we to lose Morata or Bats, though I agree he’s unproven. I just have a feeling that he’s going to become a top striker, still young and maybe needs to improve his behaviour, but would be cheaper than the elite strikers, albeit a risk.

Werner looks really impressive. 

I'm pretty confident with Sarri being our newly appointed manager. Lots of trusty figures from tutto sport and other Italian reporters confirming the decaying relationship between Sarri and Napoli's board.

I would prefer someone like Jorginho, Weigl or Neves but from the little I've seen and from what I've heard Seri does look like an impressive player. He was close to joining Barca last season
