Out of curiosity, what sort of numbers did players like Silva and Sane put up the season before they joined City?  Those two would be a good pair to compare to the attacking players we are being linked with, and they have both turned into deadly attackers in that City side.

Would be eerily similar to, say, us signing Lemar/Malcom from Ligue 1 and Bailey from the Bundesliga.

Sane was more potential but Silva was already elite. Another one who we refused to pay for who City snapped up and have been reaping rewards ever since.

Lemar potentially cost more than Mahrez and Mahrez is double the player.

When you see Sane back at Schalke, you know the boy has potential. Silva was already good at the time we bought Mata. Mata was good at unlocking defences but Silva was the playmaker in that Valencia side.

Nearly 200 quid for a player just because he has a name similar to Lewandowski? Seems a strange deal for the club to pursue..

Don't know too much about the lad but he seems like a more attacking version of Kante from the little i have seen. Him and Kante would make a very short midfield.

I still think too much emphasis is put on height.  Getting players who are good and fit in our team should be the focus, and Seri should fit the bill in that regard.

Ah, my mistake. B. Silva was an up-and-comer for me. Along the lines of Bailey, Fekir etc. Had potential but that's about it, I don't think he's as good as Sané mind you, Sterling feels like a better option for that RW side for City.

Height means nothing if they don't know how to use it. We had Matic and Bakayoko who are both tall but hardly make good use of it. 

Seri looks like a better option if he can adapt to the PL like Kante did. Mobile, good awareness and almost as good as Fabregas' vision on the ball at least from the vids I've seen of him. Hope that becomes true if he signed for us.

I agree I like a big team, height has its used but at CM, not really I mean....kante

Watched him a few times this year. I wouldn't say he would improve our defence a great deal. Left footed which is a bonus but he didn't stand out in the matches I watched.
