April 18, 201214 yr Moses is much more versatile than Lukaka. He can play wide or in midfield. Lukaka is a target man, I hope he does well on loan. I had high hopes gor him but he could be the new Kenwin Jones.
April 18, 201214 yr Who the f**k is this Lukaka? Are we talking about Lukaku or Kakuta? It's a simple mistake, don't beat him up too badly.
April 19, 201214 yr No Moses has come out and said he will leave at the end of next season when his contract expires, I wonder if he has another team in mind Granted, I think there will be more than a few takers if he is free but could we get him cheaper this summer?
April 20, 201214 yr Go after him on a free (though we'd probably have to do compo like Studge?) If it doesn't work out, sell him in the future.
April 20, 201214 yr I think you guys are getting way too excited over Moses. He is a big fish in a little pond. I honestly think he would struggle to step up as high as playing for Chelsea. He would be another Kalou. Someone coming off the bench to try and get us a goal now and then. If he was free then he might be worth a punt but i wouldnt expect too much from him.
April 20, 201214 yr What are we, Liverpool? First it was Hoilett and now it's Moses. People said the same thing about Gary Cahill. "Why would we need someone from a team in the drop zone." Talented players tend to look much much better when they are put in a lineup with far more talent. Especially when theyre so young and have shown great potential.

Big fish in a little pond? Bit like Valencia going to UTD then from wigan? That turned out pretty good I remember when he went to Wigan from palace there was talk of AC Milan, real Madrid and juventus wanting him but he didn't want to go abroad but those teams aren't shabby And football manager had him as a wonder kid ha Edited April 21, 201214 yr by Martin_plumb

Talented players tend to look much much better when they are put in a lineup with far more talent. Especially when theyre so young and have shown great potential. Sure people said it but anyone who actually watched him would have told you he would have adjusted to any top team very easily. Bolton conceded a lot of their goals mainly due to Wheater/Knight (Just as I type this Wheater costs Bolton a goal, shock horror) and their sunday league fullbacks, had very little to do with Cahill and you could even see him getting frustrated at times. Doing all that hard work only for clowns like Ricketts, Wheater to go walkabouts.Cahill is completely different to the likes of Hoilett and Moses, more experienced and more talented. I can see the temptation to sign Hoilett on a free but really he would add next to nothing to the team. Quite overrated, greedy at important times, pretty much Sturridge but less talented. Moses is just laughable really, would rather see Lukaku in the team instead of wasting wages on Moses. Both of them would honestly be better off at Liverpool, they are crying out for those kind of players. I find it very hard to believe that Real Madrid would have been interested, considering the amount of talent they already have upfront from the first team all the way down to their academy. Not that it matters really, Wickham was looked at by a few big clus; a lot of talented youngsters are.
April 21, 201214 yr I don't think you make a bad point Remodez. I think in the desire to see Hoilett and Moses is strongly related to a desire to see us buy a bit closer to home and a bit smarter. There is a feeling that we tend to snub perfectly decent homegrown players for the big names. Hence how we end up with 50m train wrecks like Torres. I must say Moses and Hoilett in particular aren't bad players, but they aren't necessarily at the level Valencia was when he left Wigan for United. He had close to 20 assists that season. Hoilett's numbers aren't close to that. Moses' are even worse. For me the one player from the lower levels of the Premier League worth considering is Dempsey (who cares about his age). Hoilett and Moses are no better than any number of players we already own who just need some playing time to make the jump. Edited April 21, 201214 yr by Spiller86
April 21, 201214 yr What about Frei from Fulham? He's looked pretty decent every time I've seen him and he's only 19. Would be a good addition to our pretty toothless attack I think.

He does look like something special. How much do you think Fulham would be willing to let him go for at such a young age though?

And when we do buy domestically, it's the latest and greatest thing, instead of looking at what we already have. I see you're moving over to the statistical dark side :D

April 22, 201214 yr Hoilett scored an absolute belter yesterday, only a few weeks after giving Man Utd massive problems. I think he would be a great signing for us, and I think he would be on a free, is that right?
April 22, 201214 yr Hoilett scored an absolute belter yesterday, only a few weeks after giving Man Utd massive problems. I think he would be a great signing for us, and I think he would be on a free, is that right? Yep, spot on ( as usual may I add DKW - the voice of reason). He is out of contract at the end of the season. For me it is a no brainer, this club is crying out for a wide man, and here is a young lad, with great skill, goal scoring ability, pace, premier league experience, and he is free..... The "not chelsea quality" that some spout is nonsense. A player doesnt have to be a readymade superstar to be "Chelsea quality (whatever the f**k that is!)... Moses is a bit more of a rough diamond, but he is a brick sh*t house, has pace and can also score. In my mind both would be better prospects and offer more than Malouda and Kalou.

'chelsea quality' or standard. two of the most overused terms. I mean how can someone know for sure if a player has what it takes to be a good squad player, which is the priority for me. I wonder if some of the know-all`s out there who spout all the chelsea quality bs are just after a squad of galcticos, whatever the cost.In regard to hoilett and moses, i agree they would both be better prospects than malouda and kalou. they both have pl experience, so you could forget the 'theyre not ready' bs as well, but still young enough to learn more,(example of a player learning on the job- mikel, was rough as when he first started out, but had some chelsea fans bending over backwards defending him with the whole he`s still young and learning line).Saw moses terrorize bacary sagna two weeks ago, and hoilett for me is slightly better. if theyre going to be free agents why not take a punt on either one.
April 23, 201214 yr Olivier Giroud and his teamate Belhanda please. on giroud i heard a rumour say they want 25 mil for him.. hes a good player but rossi is apparently available for 'as little as 12mil'. Belhanda is a good player but hes an attacking midfielder who can play on the wing if hes cheap enough fantastic buy, but i would prefer an out and out winger, salvio gaitan or james rodriguez for example. or a deeper midfielder koke or ander herrer. If we went for someone playing for montpellier id like to say Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa hes there captain centre back and play across the back line. Hes 22 so early in his career and is a great leader, john terry wont last forever.
April 23, 201214 yr Now Wolves is relegated, let's get Jarvis. English player, without the high price tag, and can add something to our limited wide options. You know Uncle Kenny will bid for him
April 26, 201214 yr what about pep guardiola to chelsea rubbish? i hope roman wont make a mistake like that - no offense to pep but RDM did earn his place as the head coach. Edited April 26, 201214 yr by Sparetire
