July 28, 20205 yr Keep seeing Nick Pope's name pop up in the rumour mill. Could be a great buy. Thoughts?

If he is looking for ball playing sweeper keeper style of football, than baller Pope isn't. If he is looking for shot stopping I like the guy. Bit stiff but a decent "traditional" goalkeeper, i.e. catches, dives, saves and punches when necessary.

July 29, 20205 yr Chelsea join race for Ismael Bennacer as Jorginho to be offered to AC Milan in swap. (Express)
July 30, 20205 yr Didn't see a thread but apparently, according to the rags which i place little faith in, we've made an offer to Marc Andre Ter Stegen and he's unhappy at Barcelona. If there's any truth to it we should be going all in for him, probably the best goalkeeper in world football at the moment alongside Alisson.
August 2, 20205 yr Talk of going after Burnley's 'keeper Nick Pope...talk about £50 cost...must say I do rate the lad...2nd in clean sheets this season...but £50m is steep...especially as it's Burnley...

He is not a ball player but I wouldn't mind a keeper who is capable of stopping the ball from going into the net

August 3, 20205 yr We are being linked with Lewis Dunk again apparently. He may not be the obvious CB choice for a lot of fans but he would bring some steel and leadership to the defense. He is also a lifelong Chelsea fan.

Oblak is the clear number 1 imo, but Ter Stegen and Allison are probably the next best after

August 3, 20205 yr I've read chelsea only want to spend money on players they make through sales,so that puts a different look on it all.

Thats good, we have many players that we dont need that can still fetch a decent fee. If we can sell 10+ players from both first team and loan system we can raise enough capital to buy a LB, CB and a GK

But 10+ players is a lot to sell during 1 window. I suspect we will once again see a lot of players loaned out.

Its tough but I mean even if we can sell a few of them we'll be doing good.

TL;DR its Kante, Zouma, Christensen, Barkley, Bats, Emerson, Bakayoko, Alonso and Kepa Edited August 3, 20205 yr by driller97
August 3, 20205 yr Includes Kante if the article is to be believed. We would obviously still get a decent price for him, although he would take some replacing.

Yeah we'd get a decent fee, but im not sure who Frank plans on playing in the deeper midfield role is Kante leaves. I assume it's going to be either Kovacic or Jorginho but neither of them are known for their defensive prowess
