Smart move especially if it unsettles him and forces Utd's hand. But what if De Gea becomes available? Would we take him? Oblak or Ter Stegen would be fantastic but probably unlikely. De Gea appears distracted off field (no substance to that statement ... Just a hunch) and a new challenge might bring him back.

No thanks to De Gea, we need an imposing keeper.

Is this a joke? The one guy who's arguably even worse than Kepa!

July 26, 20205 yr Havertz, Oblak, Tagliafico and Skriniar to add to Ziyech and Werner would have to be the greatest transfer period ever, right? And I mean of any team! The word mental doesn't even do it justice!

But still, if (and a massive if at that) we get anywhere near close to getting all those players above it would have to be considered than the 04 window.

July 26, 20205 yr There is still the part where we need to offload some players, on the other hand. If we do manage to get the above mentioned players, we will be pretty stacked and we will need to sell some deadwood in the team. Lets say that Zappa, Pedro and Willian leave as free agents. I guess we will try to sell Danny D, Baka, Moses, Alonso/Emerson, Barkley and Bats and a defender. Even if that happens, I still think we will probably lose either Kante or Jorghinho. If Havertz do arrive, we will be absolutely stacked in midfield. Kante, Jorghinho, Ruben, Billy, Mount and Kova. Those are 7 players battling for 3 spots and there will be some of them that will not be happy. Any thiughts?
July 26, 20205 yr There’s been some whispers of us potentially looking at John Stones, as he is out of favor at Man City and they’re likely to bring in a CB. He would probably come cheaper than what City paid for him a few years back, but I don’t think he is what we need. Would immediately become our best ball playing CB, but he’s always struggled with awareness.

July 28, 20205 yr Apparently we are looking in to Getafe's Cucurella. A left-back loaned from Barca. I have absolutely no idea of his qualities or lack off.
July 28, 20205 yr John Stones would be a good signing, he has made mistakes throughout his career as do most defenders in their early years, he has also played a part in City winning back to back titles and other cups along the way, whoever signs him would be buying him for the peak of his career
