I know he’s abit of a crybaby but he can play in midfield and full back, I imagine he’s cheap too, experienced. Surely that’s better than going for some 14 year old? Struggles in defence. Always has.

He is clearly a talented player The rumours today are Utd are going to use the Garnacho money to buy Dibbling. Now I’m not saying we should buy Dibbling but if the alternative is Garnacho we should definitely buy Dibbling.

January 26, 20251 yr We need to sign a goddamn striker. Give Jorgensen the rest of season and see how he does, even if he’s not as good as Sanchez at saving shots, we wouldn’t be seeing mistakes every single f*cking game. Jackson is in dire form at the moment and definitely need dropping, but there’s nobody to replace him with. Striker is absolutely the top priority. Can we do it in the next few days?

We actually had him on our books a couple of years ago as a youth, but he went back to Southampton as he was homesick. United need the money for Garnacho for PSR as it would be pure profit and the only way they could potentially invest in players that Amorim wants. I know there have been rumours of a swap with Nkunku but I'd be surprised if that happened as it would not help United's profit margin.

Best we can hope for is Tel from Bayern, a winger who "can" play up front
January 27, 20251 yr DOES ANYONE ON HERE SERIOUSLY BELIEVE WE WILL SIGN ANYONE OF NOTE THIS WINDOW? we have had 27 days to buy, and knew that certain players wanted out, yet here we are 6 days left in the window and we have bought no one, Everyone and his dog know the positions we need to fill, yet the only player we look like we could sneak over the line (we wont) is Garnacho, we could bring back Santos whose ripping up trees but no, "hes better off on loan" is what we hear Everton are sending back Broja because hes injured (again), and we are begging them to take either of KDH or Chuck, we are short of midfielders yet we are still trying to offload either or both of them

Veiga out on loan is all so far. That freezing out of Chilwell seems a great strategic ploy at this stage.
January 27, 20251 yr Agree that we are probably in a sell-to-buy scenario. Imagine we've been circulating a long list of players to try and move on, First team squad currently 34 players according to the club web site, and Maresca is really only using 14/15 of them. Nothing is going to happen in terms of outgoings though until they accept that they are probably going to have to lose money on many of the players they now want to ship out. The old adage applies that if something doesn't sell then the asking price is too high. Drop the prices and a few buyers will come out of the woodwork. The latest fee being quoted for Casadei to go to Lazio is now less than we paid for him, so signs that things are starting to move in this regard. We will also require flexibility from some of the players to agree to a lower salary at a potential new club. Suspect we will have to make a few lump sum payments as sweeteners. Chilwell on £200K a week is not going to get many takers. Ditto Carney on £100K. Can only see loan being viable for them, not sales. Still not expecting us to sign anyone at this stage though, and especially someone that might immediately improve the first team where it is desperately needed. We certainly didn't have much appetite for that in the summer window ... You can always hope I suppose !
January 27, 20251 yr .........but hang on these commercial geniuses were going to buy players to trade them on for profit. The market must be behaving strangely ? why arent people queuing up for our players ? or perhaps our commercial geniuses are total fcukwits. Not to worry keep buying expensive players and sell them for a loss,. Hey we might get lucky and actually need some of these players. Eghbali has been totally mugged off by these two clowns..... spending other peoples money.

The upshot of this, of course, will be that whilst hey will be trying to convince the world that they are still PSR compliant due to the amortisation process, they will actually be making significant bottom line P&L losses. The only way to make the books balance in the long run is to make some major gains to offset these poor speculative investments, ergo more academy kids leaving and cashing in on the one or two actual monetary successes, such as Palmer and, err, well, maybe that's it!

Ok im happy to accept hes the main man but even he should grow tired of buy high, fail to sell even at a low price. His directors must come in for some criticism surely or failing that hes wasting his own and shareholders money. I think hes been mugged off in the belief that he's any good at recruitment. Hes actually soft as sh*t for letting them get away with it. Id probably find him locked in the bathroom when i got home.😀 Edited January 27, 20251 yr by OneTommyLangley
January 27, 20251 yr Remember this time last year, Poch asked for a DM and they just recalled Casadei?

January 28, 20251 yr We won one in 7, from a comfortable position in top 4 now it looks an uphill task. we had 28 days to fix basically 3 positions and then here we are 1) recalled a player we deemed not good enough and then trying to buy a 19 year old CB having just got in anselmino who is also 19 2) given up on solving the Gk and the manager keeps selecting the worst of the lot. 3) have no targets on the st and keep looking for players who are hardly an upgrade our football directors and this club don’t care .. they aren’t in the same journey as the fans. now they will sign some unknown player on loan like they did with Zakaria and that player won’t play.. yay!! Up the blues.
January 28, 20251 yr I used to say you had to change something in the second half of the season as the EPL has a lot of clever managers and will work you out. I think that still applies to an extent yet think we struggle without a decent partner to Caicedo, we might get away with it if we were more clinical yet that is not happening. Duran has been mentioned and Felix and Disasi are in the window so something might happen with Villa.
January 29, 20251 yr It seems to me that we are prepared to help everyone else but not ourselves, this could happen Nkunku -Man Utd loan Disasi -Aston Villa loan or cash Felix - Aston Villa loan or cash Veiga - Juventus loan Chilwell - loan Casedei - cash Chuckwuemeka - Juventus? loan or cash meanwhile it looks like has Tel rejected us , some bloke from Rangers Jefte?, Verona midfielder Belahyane? and of course Garnacho and Mainoo (which won't happen) WHERE IS THE f**kING STRIKER?

Who needs a striker when you can recall Chalobah. Sign a 19 year old centre with less than 50 appearances, and loan him back out. Recall a 19 year centre back with less than 50 appearances, and probably loan him out. Sign a 16 year Brazilian left back for £12m who will be here in 2 years time. Loan out the 19 year old Brazilian striker we signed for £12m, back to the club we bought him from.
January 30, 20251 yr Rumours we asked about Rutter and Baleba from Brighton. A firm no from Brighton ………. Until we spunk silly money to them.
January 30, 20251 yr So Duran on his way to Saudi for 64 million, why are we not buying him outright OR Felix and money?

Almost every deal we have been linked with this window has involved some kind of swap proposal. I suspect Villa will make a move for Felix with the cash from the Duran sale. If we get a decent price from him we may then bring somebody in. There are some rumours that we will go back for Garnacho late in the window.
