April 3, 201610 yr Just wondering what that 80p admission cost back in March 75 would be in real terms today? You could buy a packet of fags and 2 pints for about 80p back then, so using todays prices about £14.
April 3, 201610 yr Referee Jack Sturgeon and Chelsea trainer Harry Medhurst clear away snow on the pitch at the Bridge, ahead of an FA Cup sixth round tie against Peterborough in 1965. The hard work was rewarded, we won 5:1, and booked a semi-final clash with Liverpool. A scene that you likely won't see often in today's game.
April 4, 201610 yr Now that brings back memories. Anyone got pics of the Percy Daltons peanuts guys in the White coats?

April 4, 201610 yr I remember buying a burger from one of the guys who used to walk around the pitch selling them out of picnic type boxes..... they were awful... wrapped up in tin foil and soggy and greasy Sounds like today's McDonald's (except the tin foil is now a grease proof wrapper - to keep the grease in)
April 4, 201610 yr I remember buying a burger from one of the guys who used to walk around the pitch selling them out of picnic type boxes..... they were awful... wrapped up in tin foil and soggy and greasy They were better than those boiled things our on the Fulham rd!! Those mobile germ wagons. Was at a game against qpha, was queuing for a burger from an ice cream van (which served outside my school in Beckenham ) was charging 1£ at the game, once he saw me he said alright Langley park prices for you and I gave him 30p. You should have seen people behind me in the queue!!!

April 7, 201610 yr Author It's an ad for Genes Reunited however it's an interesting insight from a family who have supported Chelsea since the club's first game. Joe who has supported Chelsea since the late 1920's and whose Dad saw Chelsea's first match at the Bridge in 1905 gives a good account of the family's support with additional comments from his daughter. Also some great old films of Stamford Bridge back in the 30's.........
