Reports coming out of Arsenal tonight are that Cesc Fabregas is torn about leaving Arsenal knowing

that he is not a guaranteed starter at Barcelona, meanwhile Sami Nasri is refusing to sign his latest

contract offer.

Knowing that Nasri can leave on a free next season, forget the mind games Wenger might play,

there is no way the 'Golders Green' side of the Arsenal board will turn down a huge bid if contracts

are not signed soon.

For me, Nasri and Sneijder are the only two players that would be the perfect foil for Torres.

Age wise Nasri fits the bill more and I could see him and Josh tormenting defences for years to come.

Modric at 35 million is a joke in my opinion. He is a good player, but I know plenty of Spuds fans who

reckon he isn't all that he's cracked up to be. To me he is a bit like Beneyoun but not as good as

a young Beneyoun at West Ham.

Nasri however is loved by every gooner I know and the vast majority would gladly lose Fabregas and

keep him given a choice in the ideal world.

With City ready to take aim, I believe we should fire in a 38 million offer to make Arsenal think.

38M Star, you must be having a laugh. Please tell me it was a typo. The few Arsenal supporters l know all think that he was fairly poor since Christmas and did not man up to the task. Last year of his contact l think 10 to12 would take him but l wouldn't,t want him.

I think we should bid for Nasri now he's only a year left on his contract,at the very least it would give that muppet Levy a kick up the arse.

Agreed, Nasri is nothing like Modric as a player so it would never be a choice of only one.

We could probably convince him to stay in London with us and challenge for multiple trophies.

I would love to get him but not for 22m. 15m is probably right given how reluctant Arsenal are to sell him even when he's on the final year of his contract.

If we end up buying Modric and Nasri this window it would be a brilliant piece of business for the next season and for the future of the club. Plus it would be a huge thing to snatch them from local rivals :D

Nasri would bring some tricks to the squad. Only Kalou is tying to take on players and he's not that successful in that most of the times. I also think he is the kind of player what AVB is looking for.

My concern is the number of players who play out of their natural position; Sturridge, Kalou, Anelka. In big games like vs. Manu that is not going to work as we've seen it many times.

I honestly dont think he will come to us and i dont think we will even make a bid for him. I think he is manchester bound either this summer or next.

I'm with you there Evissy. Buying true wide players would make a huge difference. Occasionally a player can be converted but usually playing players out of their natural position does go wrong. It reminds me of when Ranieri shuffled the whole team in Monaco. I'm sure we had no one in their natural position by the hour mark!

He's in his final year, he shouldn't go for more than 15mil

If Man City is the interested party, you cant say. They are capable of offering 10 million to a club for a player they might have released on a free. :S :P
