It reminded me of the goal he set up for Mata right at the end of the Euro 2012 final. Against Liverpool he had far more space but the idea was similar, especially considering the game was more or less won (more so for Spain than for us obviously) in both circumstances.

The first season and a half I was thinking "Torres can't be that sh*t. This must be a curse from the scourses."  Then I realize he is sh*t but yesterday the 2-on-1 situation remind me of the same thoughts again and I was screaming at the TV "Common, Torres! Finisht It! Break that stupid curse!" and then.. he decided to pass. So dissappointed.. But anyway, it was a good decision from him after all. And the goal describes it best - It was a walk in the park!

Time for him to go. The two games against Atletico have done me tbh.

I know that Atletico will be his team. The team he supports because they are the team that made him. But at the Vicente Calderon he claps the Atletico fans but not the 3000 that had travelled from London. That ain't on. Then on Wednesday he comes off and claps the away end but not us! After the amount our fans have been put through with him... Sticking with him when he has been absolutely sh*te for a £50million signing that isn't on. Was wearing his Atletico bracelet as well.

I'm thankful for his goal at Barca but Torres lad... It's time to piss off.

My thoughts exactly. Not worth the wages or the transfer fee.

The non clapping thing was nothing short of disgusting, the support we have given him.

A small positive fact about the man:

On Wednesday Torres became our third all-time highest scorer in European competition. His 17th goal for the Blues in three different UEFA tournaments - the Champions League, the Europa League and the Super Cup - took him clear of the previous incumbent, Peter Osgood . Only Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard have more.

And worth remembering Frank and The Drogs didn't get the chance to artificially skew their individual totals further in the second tier of European football named ........... the Europa League.

The thing for me with Torres is, he has been involved in so many defining moments for us it drives me bonkers that he hasn't shone outright. If he does go, I will always remember him as a very important player for us in helping us win trophies.

And there it is ..........history being rewritten.

A year from now some on here will be referring to him as a Chelsea Legend.

When Torres leaves this summer I'm gonna f**king party, who wants to meet up and do some heroin, blow, speed, pcp, jagerbombs, weed, booze, oxys, ecstasy, f**kin get tattoos, shoot some guns, whatever man I'm gonna party like its 1999

Sadly, I remember saying the same thing last year.... and the year before.

Unless the Inter Milan rumours are true or he's swapped with Costa then we've got another year of 'Nando.

Difference is we have continuity coaching wise from the end of this season to the beginning of the next, it's not in limbo like it has in the past. Jose it seems does not want him. Plus if we are serious about FFP then we need that 175k a week off the payroll, or at least pay it somebody who is worth it.

It's also for FFP reasons that the chairman of another football club would have to be completely barking mental to take those £175k a week wages on.

Anyone got Vincent Tan's phone number?

I am hoping he goes as part of the Costa deal and he gives Madrid a 'home town' discount!

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho on the future of Fernando Torres: "Yes he's in my plans (for next season). He's a good player. He's not the kind of guy who will score goal after goal but the way he works and moves he contributes to the team. He's a player I like."

*Sigh*

Jose is just being pleasant.

Torres will be gone make no mistake

@chelseafc: Jose: 'Eto'o has finished his contract but I think Torres will be at Chelsea next season.' #CFC

Aaahhhh. Really hope this is not the case. We really made a deal with the devil..not blaming the man but this is setting us back too much.

He didn'y celebrate because he knew he should've had a couple already and he knows he's crap. Frankly, it would've been embarrasing to see him celebrate.

he said he thinks torres will be here next year. he has also said recently he thinks Lampard, JT and Cole will be here next season.

If i had to choose between him lying about all four, or telling the truth about all four id take having torres here next year if it meant we gave JT, Lamps and Cole new contracts!
