Worst result all season?

Featured Replies

Which result hurt the most?

Athletico 4-1

West Brom 2-1

Juve 3-0

West Ham 3-1

QPR 1-0

Corinthians 1-0

3-1 to West Ham. I can't explain why, it just felt the worst.

Athletico 4-1 - It was a very disappointing result for a competition I was really excited about, but at the same time it showed us the contrast between a great striker in Falcao, and a poor striker in Torres. Sad but true, but not the worst defeat because the game didn't have much riding on it in the end.

West Brom 2-1 - RDM's last match in the EPL, but it wasn't a bad game by us, it was just a case of West Brom being in great form at the time. It's not a defeat that can wreck your season.

Juve 3-0 - RDM's last match. It was a bad loss, but I've felt worse after a loss. I always felt we were not good enough to go through to the knockout stages and this match confirmed it to be honest.

West Ham 3-1 - A really bad loss, but it wasn't surprising at the same time. We were down on confidence at the time and the club was still in a crisis at the time. I was more angry than sad about it to be honest.

QPR 1-0 - This match is the worst result all season. It may have only been 1-0 but it was devastating in a lot of ways. For starters, QPR's on the bottom of the ladder and in crisis while on the other hand we've won 4 matches in a row including great wins against Aston Villa and Everton at Goodison Park. The players and the manager were arrogant, and I've never felt more disappointed and angry about any match in a long time.

Corinthians 1-0 - Again like the Super Cup, it was great to participate in the competition, but there wasn't a lot riding on it. It would be more devastating to lose an FA Cup final for instance.

Therefore the QPR game takes the cake for being the worst result we've had all season.

The 3-2 loss to United hurt more than any of those, just because of the injustice of it all.

Also it's pretty much ruined our entire season.

Personally I feel this is the worst result of the Abromovitch era.

QPR have a very poor side and are bottom of the league. Taken apart in their last game by Liverpool all the eyphoria over Harry's appointment had all but evaporated.

We needed a win desperately, there was no passion from the team or our fans.

We know QPR fans would take a win over Chelsea over staying up and West London will be full of banter this morning.

Benetiz must re call Lukaku and play Ba regularly and NEVER drop Mata ( Lesson not learned from Fulham )

The Torres situation is fast becoming bigger than Chelsea - he has to go otherwise we will be 5th and the club will freefal like Liverpool when he was there and won f all even in his prime.

Last night was so very disappointing for a multitude of reasons. I'll cut it down to 3 main reasons that I see.

> FSW picked a silly lineup, he had no reason to rest Mata, they have the weekend off and arent playing again until the 12th!!! Surely that's enough 'rest' that's needed. F*ck me!

> The team don't know how do deal with a team who are willing to dig deep and fight, much like the defeat to West Ham.

> Torres is all out of excuses and needs to go now. The players must be so frustrated at how inept he is. Useless!

The west ham and QPR hurt the most because they are teams that we should be whooping on a bad day and they are london rivals.

For me this just proves that Rafa doesnt care about Chelsea or the fans. Robbie understood our rivals, Rafa either doesnt or he just doesnt care.

For me, getting thumped by Athletico hurt the most. Probably because we were on such a high at the time, we had a great start to the season and our new players were giving us a lot to be excited about. I felt that defeat brought us crashing back down to earth, and the scoreline was nothing short of humiliating. The way things are at the club right now, I doubt that any result before the end of the season could possibly generate anywhere near the same level of emotion in me.

The question mark wasnt needed..This was the worst and most embarrasing result thus far..IMO...Not just Rafas fault for not taking QPR seriously enough..Not just Torres inneptness....The whole team were sh*te.....Nobody had the instinct for the 22 ft goal...All prob still pissed from NYD...This is one result where players should donate their wage to charity....They didnt deserve to be paid....

Last night must be the worst.

I really was starting to get my hopes up. Thought Everton was a massive massive result which could have been the start of at least a half decent go at the mancs.

woke up this morning to 15+ texts from Rangers twats who have been cumming their pants round Shepards Bush roundabout since the final whistle.

Athletico 4-1 - A very poor performance all round. Athletico absolutely destroyed us, but in doing so they highlighted our frailties and therefore helped us in the long term imo. Very disappointing but given that Falcao is truly world class and they played the perfect tactics the loss didn't leave much of a hangover (and because we've already won it before)

West Brom 2-1 - I didn't think we deserved to lose this game. We were the better team, especially when Mata came on in the second half. West Brom took their chances and we did not. Regarding Torres, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Sturridge gave him a lesson in movement and all round attacking play. From this game on Sturridge should have started every game (when he wasn't injured). And RDM did drop Torres for the Juve game to his credit.

Juve 3-0 - It wasn't a good performance but as a result of our recent lack of goals, we had very little confidence in our attack, hence why Hazard started up front instead of Torres. It was the correct move to leave out Torres as he is completely sh*t. However, without Sturridge we were left with no strikers and therefore no strong presence up front against a world class defence.

West Ham 3-1 - First half was good. But once again our lack of a goalscorer proved to be our downfall. Their goals came from a foul on Ivanovic and individual mistakes. The Cole mistake was irrelevant, however, as he was attempting to keep the ball rather that simply lumping it forward and giving them possession again.

QPR 1-0 - This match is the worst result all season. Rafa and Torres showed they do not deserve their places at this club. They are not good enough.Torres performance yesterday was the single worst performance I have ever seen from any Chelsea player ever. The most frustrating match I've ever watched.

Corinthians 1-0 - I actually cared about this trophy more than most, simply because we've never won it. It doesn't really mean a lot but I would have had it as a priority at the beginning of the season, along with 3rd place (minimum) and the knockout stages of the CL. I was extremely disappointed with the result, especially our inability to maintain any real pressure on a clearly inferior team.

QPR was the worst result, but the biggest disappointment was the result against Corinthians.

The 3-2 to Man United was probably the worst one for me personally as I felt frustrated and angry for about a week, and as others have said, it turned our season on its head.

QPR yesterday evening was without a doubt the most disappointing. You can put a lot of the blame on Rafa but the players have to take their fair share as well. Even a weakened  team such as yesterday's line-up should've comfortably beaten QPR.

The Man Utd game wasn't on the list but now you mention it, it was probably the worst game for me as well. That game marks the point where our season went down the toilet.

Yup. Pretty much a downhill ride from there really.

Last night without a doubt.  Even after sobering up from the bucketful I drank I'm still f**king furious. (Sorry Omnidroid70, not your quote but I can't get used to this reply method!)

1st - Manure 3-2 - This was by far the worst defeat so far this season. There was so much wrong in this match and it was the beginning of the end for RDM. A day to forget, but I don't think I ever will be able to.

2nd - QPR 1-0 - A painful defeat in so many ways. Losing AT HOME to Dirty 'Arry and his rag-tag band of bottom-placed rejects, and the winning goal scored by a Chelsea has-been. Lost all momentum gained from a decent December and lost the chance to bite City's heels in the PL.

3rd - Athletico 4-1 - Not exactly the most important cup, but it was a freezing cold reality check for us and took the gloss off the CL win. Demonstrated to the world just how lucky we were to win the CL and exposed Torres as the flop we all know him to be. Athletico are a great team, but we shouldn't have been thrashed like that in front of the world audience.

4th - Shakhtar 2-1 - Totally outplayed us and was hard to watch. Another reality check for the 'Champions of Europe' and the death knell for Chelsea's CL campaign.

5th - Corinthians 1-0 - Again, not necessarily an important cup, but the world was watching and we couldn't deliver even with our strongest team. They played dirty and we showed lack of appetite. First chance, and perhaps last chance for a while, to win this particular cup - wasted! Embarrassing.

West Brom 2-1 - Was an away defeat against an in-form PL team, managed by somebody who knew us inside-out. We didn't play badly and it's just one of those games, so I can accept this defeat.

Juventus 3-0 - In all honesty, our CL campaign was already over. We lost away to a great European team that had a stunning home record and was top of their league. To be expected really.

West Ham 3-1 - Not nice to lose to these w**kers. But I felt worse after the other games to be honest. This would be 6th though

Overall it's been a sh*t season. We've lost all 4 finals we've played in -  that's 4 trophies we've let slip - and I wouldn't put it past us to lose in the League Cup too. We've lacked consistency, and the fact that there are so many embarrassing defeats to chose from in all competitions sums it all up really. 3rd in the PL is the best we can hope for, Europa will probably be another embarrassment for the 'Champions of Europe' and I can't wait for it to be over!

Even now, thinking about that United game pisses me off, and the thought that United and Baconface are probably going to win another EPL title this year because of it, f**k sake.

woke up this morning to 15+ texts from Rangers twats who have been cumming their pants round Shepards Bush roundabout since the final whistle.

About to go to Westfield, dreading the thought of those bellends coming out of the woodwork "proudly" wearing the kit.

The Utd result was awful. But the team selection was right and the players tried their hearts out. The outcome was taken from our hands.

Cant compare it to last night. Worst league result i can remember. By a trillion miles the worst result and performance of the season. No matter what happens between now and May we wont top that.

In fact - can anyone confirm when the last time we lost to the bottom side at home was ?
