Doubt he knows what plans we have for Cech.

He should keep his gob shut, mouthy w**ker.

I dunno if I'm reading too much into it but the club seems to be making a big point of mentioning Courtois on their official Twitter and Facebook pages since the end of the season. 

Wilmots may well know that Courtois is coming back here but he needs to keep his mouth shut about Cech, he doesn't know if we are going to sell him or not.

It makes sense to get good money for Cech but I hope he goes abroad and not to a Premiership rival like Arsenal. He is well worth 20 million and it would free up money to help fair play regulations and an outfield presence to compliment the imminent arrivals of Costa, Luiz and Tiago ( Strong rumours dinner time in the Pelican that all three deals will be confirmed on July 1st.

he's definitely worth 20 mil, but i highly doubt we'd get more than 12 mil for him

Atletico's President has also confirmed Courtois is returning to Chelsea. 

So say we sell Cech, who do we get as number 2 keeper? What if Courtois has a really sh*t first season and it just doesnt work out.

I really hate the idea of putting all our eggs in the Courtois basket.

He won't be sh*t, he's played 2 years non stop at the highest level.

What if Cech is sh*t next season? What if he doesnt come back the same after his injury?

Lot's of what If's that can be used either way.

Courtois is a world class keeper with his best days ahead of him, if he comes in and performs well he should be our No.1

Cechs come back from worse.

Torres was a great player for Liverpool when we bought him and look what happened.

Sheva was a great player for Milan and look what happened

Kezman was a great player for PSV and look what happened.

All im saying is selling Cech this summer could be a big mistake.

Kezman played in Holland...hardly the top level.

Torres was shot after the world cup, his form and perfromances for Liverpool were not great before he moved, we were idiots.

We are talking about a 21/22 year old GK who has won La liga, played in the CL final and knocked us out.

Anything could be looked upon as a 'big mistake' if you take that view..Fabregas could flop ect.

Unos right though, every single signing us a gamble no matter how good the player is.

Of course it is but if you don't gamble you don't get a Drogba and you don't get a CL trophy.

That's also true, but I see the benefit in keeping cech if we can. Strangely his injury could turn out to be a help for us as no club will buybhim until he's fit probably. Meaning we could have him as back up until January anyway, also means he can help courtois settle in too.

We do have blacky (not racist by the way daily mail reporter) though I'm not sure he's ready for a step up.

We do but Im with you on this one, asking him to take the step up is maybe a bit too much at the moment.

If we were the Chelsea of old then it wouldnt be a problem but now we have expectation. It is expected for us to win.

Taking risks isnt something we can really do anymore.

I'd love to keep them both too but I can't see either being pleased or willing to sit on the bench.

One is a La Liga winner playing constant first team football last season playing in a CL final.

The other is a club legend who is still performing week in and week out and is an ever present in the side.

We have two of the best GK's in the world right now and keeping both happy is almost impossible.

If Courtois is to be number 1, Cech has to be number 2 for a full season.

If Courtois gets off to a nightmare then he has to be dropped, just like Fergie did with De Gea.

Selling Cech before this kid has absolutely settled in Chelsea would be ridiculously stupid.

I don't see how Goalkeepers need to adapt to a league, unlike strikers and other outfield players. Goalkeepers are Goalkeepers, they save shots, no matter what league they play in. There are levels, though, and Courtois is right now at the highest level in world football.

We don't need to gamble though. There is nothing Courtois can do if we say, you are our player, we want you in the team. You will start the season 2nd choice to Cech and we go from there. He signed a contract, he gets paid handsomely by Chelsea. We don't need to sell Cech to make up FFP or free up cash. I would like to see him stay for another season, unless the right sporting offer for him comes in, if say Real bid for him it'd be harsh of us to deny him another first choice slot at a massive club, we shouldn't just sell him to make a quick buck though.

There is something he can do though and that's not sign a new contract so he walks for little to nothing and we lose about 20-30 million on a world class player.

That's why it's an issue.....
