Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

Featured Replies

Strong, quick and aggressive. He needs to show his aggression a bit more as that's when he's best. I've posted it on here before but the moment I really saw something in this guy was when, after being dispossessed  by a Reading player and sent to the ground, he attempted to trip the Reading player. With his head.

That kind of aggression serves players like Rooney and Tevez so well in this league, and I hope that Hazard can foster it.

Seeing as we've snapped up Thorgan, and going by the clubs Hazard fetish, who knows we might end up with the even younger brother Kylian... we should go ahead and sign 'Yanis' and 'Leo'. (Leo Hazard btw, don't think another Torres at the club would do my health any favours)

Just listening to an old Chels podcast, they got Hazard going to the tune of Zigger Zagger and it actually worked really well :D

EDEN HAZARD EDEN HAZARD OI OI OI!

...The Belgian youngster, who will cost Chelsea £78m in transfer fee and wages...

Why do they add up all the costs instead of saying how much he's cost us SO FAR...? They make it sound like it was a signing of Kaka/Ronaldo proportions in financial terms(obviously before counting how much the player brings back to the club).

Since returning from his farcical ban after that ball "boy" incident he looks to have regained some of the form that made him so lethal at the start of the season.

He is imposing himself on matches a lot more again now.

Great read.  Love his expressions when he scores, or assists, but he looks as if he genuinely enjoys playing.

So glad to have him here.

Watching Hazard this afters, i honestly think he is one of the most naturally gifted players i have seen in the PL, he will draw comparisons with Cantona  and Henry, he is so sure and nonchalant with his touch pace and skill set, he is our best footballer, Oscar is just Brazilliant so he doesn't count...

Really coming of age lately. Been fantastic and I can't wait to see him next season.

His English is getting good as well. He did a 2 minute interview with 'The Spy' on Chelsea TV all in English. I think that means a lot. Shows dedication and intelligence to want to pick up English as fast as he's doing.

Some players play in England for years and can't even manage a few words.

Probably his worst game in a Chelsea shirt tonight. Still produced our best chance though.

You have to feel for Hazard. The player behind him who is suppposed to "recycle possession" keeps squatting on the ball and when the ball finally reaches Hazard, the entire opposition defense is already in place and they are ready to double team him providing zero space to run into.

We were playing long ball so this is complete nonsense. Interesting that you should choose to pick on Mikel when his midfield partner's passing was actually statistically more erratic than his. Complete rubbish like pretty much every 'theory' of causality you have proposed regarding the player you have arbitrarily decided to hate.

Did I talk about misplaced passes anywhere?

You really are a bit of a knob-end, aren't you?  Join up in here, post nothing but tosh in the Mikel thread, seemingly go out of your way to start arguments with lots of other posters, and, in the end, just make yourself look silly.

I think CFCNet would love you, why don't you try there instead?  I'm sure we'd all wish you the very best as we wave goodbye.

That is such a typical response.

Somebody is questioning Mikel's abilities, quick shower him with abuses and deflect any questions he asks about Mikel's performances and contribution to the team.

Well the ability to complete a pass is actually quite important when you're talking about the quality of somebody's passing isn't it? Or are you finally admitting that the only things you seem to consider relevant are statistics you enjoy rather than inherently meaningful statistics?

Do you know what one of my favourite statistics is? It's Steven Gerrard's Premier League trophies count. The reason I like it is because it is zero, and taken in isolation, seems to suggest that Gerrard is a loser and a sh*t player. But of course that isn't true, he's actually an excellent player whom I happen not to like. As much as I would like there to be causality in that sequence of events there clearly is not - post hoc ergo propter hoc.

Frankly I feel a little uncomfortable hopping on a high horse when it comes to matters of 'truth' as I have read Kant and I have read Hume and I am aware of just how subjective any seemingly sure 'truth' can actually be, but your methodology is so egregiously flawed that any epistemological guilt is washed away.

This is what I wrote in that post: "The player behind him who is suppposed to "recycle possession" keeps squatting on the ball and when the ball finally reaches Hazard"

Read that 10-15 times and tell me where did I write about Mikel or the CM misplacing passes.

like I said, a knob-end who is just embarrassing himself.  Oh, and infantile with it.

All I have is my sympathies (in fact pity) for you.

Cant reply to a question with reason and logic so start calling the other person names and abusing him. Please carry on. May God help you.
